<h6 style="background-color: white; box-sizing: inherit; clear: both; color: #030303; font-family: "Playfair Display"; font-size: 20px; font-weight: 400; line-height: normal; margin: 0px 0px 10px; outline: 0px !important;">
As a child, I always felt that I lacked confidence. Even now, in some situations I find that I do not measure up to my expectations. Yet, I have always admired confident people and I continue to do.</h6>
<h6 style="background-color: white; box-sizing: inherit; clear: both; color: #030303; font-family: "Playfair Display"; font-size: 20px; font-weight: 400; line-height: normal; margin: 0px 0px 10px; outline: 0px !important;">
Considering that Confidence is a very importance part of our lives, I often contemplate about it.</h6>
<h6 style="background-color: white; box-sizing: inherit; clear: both; color: #030303; font-family: "Playfair Display"; font-size: 20px; font-weight: 400; line-height: normal; margin: 0px 0px 10px; outline: 0px !important;">
This happened at the Delhi Airport. I had checked-in well in advance, as per my habit. I was waiting to board the flight to Mumbai. As usual I was looking around to find confident people. There were many men and women well dressed, upright and looking satisfied with their lives. But there was one gentleman who appeared exceptional. He was immaculately dressed in a dark grey suit. His broad shoulders and  with his chin-up added to his confident look. As I was brooding the flight was announced and we all boarded the plane.</h6>
<h6 style="background-color: white; box-sizing: inherit; clear: both; color: #030303; font-family: "Playfair Display"; font-size: 20px; font-weight: 400; line-height: normal; margin: 0px 0px 10px; outline: 0px !important;">
It was a comfortable smooth flight. All the usual things the in flight safety demonstrations, service of snacks, tea and coffee went off very well. Soon it was the time to reach Mumbai. The air-hostess announced that the plane would land at Mumbai airport in a few minutes. Then something happened. Instead of descending the plane went up and started going round in circles. After about ten minutes everyone got restless. People were looking around and trying to understand what was happening. I closed my eyes and started praying. Still, the plane continued to hover in mid-air.</h6>
<h6 style="background-color: white; box-sizing: inherit; clear: both; color: #030303; font-family: "Playfair Display"; font-size: 20px; font-weight: 400; line-height: normal; margin: 0px 0px 10px; outline: 0px !important;">
Suddenly, I thought of this very confident tall man I saw at the Delhi airport. Looking around I found that he was perhaps the most restless soul on the flight at that moment. He was holding his handkerchief in one hand furiously wiping the perspiration, sometimes from the forehead and sometimes from his cheeks. With closed eyes he was looking up and down. At times he would put his hand in the pocket, as if he were trying to search for something. I could see all this because he occupied an aisle seat on the opposite side just two rows behind. In my futile endeavor of observing him, I had somehow forgotten my fears.</h6>
<h6 style="background-color: white; box-sizing: inherit; clear: both; color: #030303; font-family: "Playfair Display"; font-size: 20px; font-weight: 400; line-height: normal; margin: 0px 0px 10px; outline: 0px !important;">
And then the Pilot came out of his cabin, walked to the middle of gangway, and stopped there. He did something and then went back. Shortly thereafter another landing announcement was made. The plane landed safely and all of us got down.</h6>
<h6 style="background-color: white; box-sizing: inherit; clear: both; color: #030303; font-family: "Playfair Display"; font-size: 20px; font-weight: 400; line-height: normal; margin: 0px 0px 10px; outline: 0px !important;">
I realized that the confidence of a person is not only about posture, looks, and dress. Adressed, and the way he behavior, it is something more. In fact, a lot more. Real confidence is tested when there is a crisis how you remain cools at the time.</h6>
<h6 style="background-color: white; box-sizing: inherit; clear: both; color: #030303; font-family: "Playfair Display"; font-size: 20px; font-weight: 400; line-height: normal; margin: 0px 0px 10px; outline: 0px !important;">

Today we will discuss Self Esteem. What is self esteem? How do we know whether we have self esteem or not? And to what extent? What are the indications of self esteem? Like any other personality attribute it is very difficult to measure self esteem. However, the indications can be enumerated as under:</h6>
<ul style="background-color: white; box-sizing: inherit; color: #464646; font-family: "Open Sans"; font-size: 15px; list-style-image: initial; list-style-position: initial; margin: 0px 0px 15px; outline: 0px !important; padding: 0px 0px 0px 20px;">
<li style="box-sizing: inherit; outline: 0px !important;"><h6 style="box-sizing: inherit; clear: both; color: #030303; font-family: "Playfair Display"; font-size: 20px; font-weight: 400; line-height: normal; margin: 0px 0px 10px; outline: 0px !important;">
Respecting yourself and being self aware.</h6>
</li>
<li style="box-sizing: inherit; outline: 0px !important;"><h6 style="box-sizing: inherit; clear: both; color: #030303; font-family: "Playfair Display"; font-size: 20px; font-weight: 400; line-height: normal; margin: 0px 0px 10px; outline: 0px !important;">
Not despising yourself for small mistakes committed.</h6>
</li>
<li style="box-sizing: inherit; outline: 0px !important;"><h6 style="box-sizing: inherit; clear: both; color: #030303; font-family: "Playfair Display"; font-size: 20px; font-weight: 400; line-height: normal; margin: 0px 0px 10px; outline: 0px !important;">
Having the conviction to handle difficult tasks.</h6>
</li>
<li style="box-sizing: inherit; outline: 0px !important;"><h6 style="box-sizing: inherit; clear: both; color: #030303; font-family: "Playfair Display"; font-size: 20px; font-weight: 400; line-height: normal; margin: 0px 0px 10px; outline: 0px !important;">
Not being afraid of people or adverse circumstances.</h6>
</li>
<li style="box-sizing: inherit; outline: 0px !important;"><h6 style="box-sizing: inherit; clear: both; color: #030303; font-family: "Playfair Display"; font-size: 20px; font-weight: 400; line-height: normal; margin: 0px 0px 10px; outline: 0px !important;">
Having the ability to stand up against injustice.</h6>
</li>
<li style="box-sizing: inherit; outline: 0px !important;"><h6 style="box-sizing: inherit; clear: both; color: #030303; font-family: "Playfair Display"; font-size: 20px; font-weight: 400; line-height: normal; margin: 0px 0px 10px; outline: 0px !important;">
Expressing yourself freely in any forum.</h6>
</li>
</ul>
<h6 style="background-color: white; box-sizing: inherit; clear: both; color: #030303; font-family: "Playfair Display"; font-size: 20px; font-weight: 400; line-height: normal; margin: 0px 0px 10px; outline: 0px !important;">
Now let us discuss how we can go about developing our self esteem a critical aspect of the personality.</h6>
<h2 style="background-color: white; box-sizing: inherit; clear: both; color: #030303; font-family: "Playfair Display"; font-size: 36px; font-weight: 400; line-height: normal; margin: 0px 0px 10px; outline: 0px !important;">
<strong style="box-sizing: inherit; outline: 0px !important;">1. Being balanced:</strong></h2>
<ol style="background-color: white; box-sizing: inherit; color: #464646; font-family: "Open Sans"; font-size: 15px; list-style-image: initial; list-style-position: initial; margin: 0px 0px 15px; outline: 0px !important; padding: 0px 0px 0px 20px;">
<li style="box-sizing: inherit; outline: 0px !important;"><h3 style="box-sizing: inherit; clear: both; color: #030303; font-family: "Playfair Display"; font-size: 30px; font-weight: 400; line-height: normal; margin: 0px 0px 10px; outline: 0px !important;">
<strong style="box-sizing: inherit; outline: 0px !important;">Don’t be a self critic:</strong></h3>
<h6 style="box-sizing: inherit; clear: both; color: #030303; font-family: "Playfair Display"; font-size: 20px; font-weight: 400; line-height: normal; margin: 0px 0px 10px; outline: 0px !important;">
The first point in this segment is that you stop criticizing yourself. That does not mean you do not analyze your mistakes. In fact when you are too harsh with yourself, your assessment will be prejudiced and of little use.</h6>
</li>
</ol>
<ol start="2" style="background-color: white; box-sizing: inherit; color: #464646; font-family: "Open Sans"; font-size: 15px; list-style-image: initial; list-style-position: initial; margin: 0px 0px 15px; outline: 0px !important; padding: 0px 0px 0px 20px;">
<li style="box-sizing: inherit; outline: 0px !important;"><h3 style="box-sizing: inherit; clear: both; color: #030303; font-family: "Playfair Display"; font-size: 30px; font-weight: 400; line-height: normal; margin: 0px 0px 10px; outline: 0px !important;">
<strong style="box-sizing: inherit; outline: 0px !important;">Don’t be a perfectionist:</strong></h3>
<h6 style="box-sizing: inherit; clear: both; color: #030303; font-family: "Playfair Display"; font-size: 20px; font-weight: 400; line-height: normal; margin: 0px 0px 10px; outline: 0px !important;">
Next, don’t be a perfectionist. Perfection is a mirage. Pursuing excellence is what must be practiced. Excellence is a habit. This pursuit enhances self esteem. Trying to be perfect leads to frustration and lowers the self esteem.</h6>
</li>
</ol>
<h2 style="background-color: white; box-sizing: inherit; clear: both; color: #030303; font-family: "Playfair Display"; font-size: 36px; font-weight: 400; line-height: normal; margin: 0px 0px 10px; outline: 0px !important;">
<strong style="box-sizing: inherit; outline: 0px !important;">2. Practice Positivity:</strong></h2>
<h6 style="background-color: white; box-sizing: inherit; clear: both; color: #030303; font-family: "Playfair Display"; font-size: 20px; font-weight: 400; line-height: normal; margin: 0px 0px 10px; outline: 0px !important;">
Here I would like to emphasize the following four points:</h6>
<ol style="background-color: white; box-sizing: inherit; color: #464646; font-family: "Open Sans"; font-size: 15px; list-style-image: initial; list-style-position: initial; margin: 0px 0px 15px; outline: 0px !important; padding: 0px 0px 0px 20px;">
<li style="box-sizing: inherit; outline: 0px !important;"><h3 style="box-sizing: inherit; clear: both; color: #030303; font-family: "Playfair Display"; font-size: 30px; font-weight: 400; line-height: normal; margin: 0px 0px 10px; outline: 0px !important;">
<strong style="box-sizing: inherit; outline: 0px !important;">Use healthy motivation:</strong></h3>
<h6 style="box-sizing: inherit; clear: both; color: #030303; font-family: "Playfair Display"; font-size: 20px; font-weight: 400; line-height: normal; margin: 0px 0px 10px; outline: 0px !important;">
Our motivation only decides our actions. Healthy motivation would mean being positive and yet being practical.</h6>
</li>
</ol>
<ol start="2" style="background-color: white; box-sizing: inherit; color: #464646; font-family: "Open Sans"; font-size: 15px; list-style-image: initial; list-style-position: initial; margin: 0px 0px 15px; outline: 0px !important; padding: 0px 0px 0px 20px;">
<li style="box-sizing: inherit; outline: 0px !important;"><h3 style="box-sizing: inherit; clear: both; color: #030303; font-family: "Playfair Display"; font-size: 30px; font-weight: 400; line-height: normal; margin: 0px 0px 10px; outline: 0px !important;">
<strong style="box-sizing: inherit; outline: 0px !important;">Self evaluation:</strong></h3>
<h6 style="box-sizing: inherit; clear: both; color: #030303; font-family: "Playfair Display"; font-size: 20px; font-weight: 400; line-height: normal; margin: 0px 0px 10px; outline: 0px !important;">
We must evaluate what we are going to do. For important tasks, we must even write down and pros and cons. Having understood the cause and effect of your action, you should always do the right thing.</h6>
</li>
</ol>
<ol start="3" style="background-color: white; box-sizing: inherit; color: #464646; font-family: "Open Sans"; font-size: 15px; list-style-image: initial; list-style-position: initial; margin: 0px 0px 15px; outline: 0px !important; padding: 0px 0px 0px 20px;">
<li style="box-sizing: inherit; outline: 0px !important;"><h3 style="box-sizing: inherit; clear: both; color: #030303; font-family: "Playfair Display"; font-size: 30px; font-weight: 400; line-height: normal; margin: 0px 0px 10px; outline: 0px !important;">
<strong style="box-sizing: inherit; outline: 0px !important;">Try something new:</strong></h3>
<h6 style="box-sizing: inherit; clear: both; color: #030303; font-family: "Playfair Display"; font-size: 20px; font-weight: 400; line-height: normal; margin: 0px 0px 10px; outline: 0px !important;">
Your effort to innovate and try something new will make your life more interesting. You would be out of the mundane, boring routine. Above all these efforts will help you to progress in the achievement of your goals. Something may even click to an extent that it will take you to a higher level.</h6>
</li>
</ol>
<ol start="4" style="background-color: white; box-sizing: inherit; color: #464646; font-family: "Open Sans"; font-size: 15px; list-style-image: initial; list-style-position: initial; margin: 0px 0px 15px; outline: 0px !important; padding: 0px 0px 0px 20px;">
<li style="box-sizing: inherit; outline: 0px !important;"><h3 style="box-sizing: inherit; clear: both; color: #030303; font-family: "Playfair Display"; font-size: 30px; font-weight: 400; line-height: normal; margin: 0px 0px 10px; outline: 0px !important;">
<strong style="box-sizing: inherit; outline: 0px !important;">Always remember the whys of self-esteem:</strong></h3>
<h6 style="box-sizing: inherit; clear: both; color: #030303; font-family: "Playfair Display"; font-size: 20px; font-weight: 400; line-height: normal; margin: 0px 0px 10px; outline: 0px !important;">
This will help you to avoid any temptation of doing something which your heart may seek for instant pleasure and self-gratification. Remember, this invariable leads to lowering your self esteem. It may even cause a feeling of guilt.</h6>
</li>
</ol>
<h2 style="background-color: white; box-sizing: inherit; clear: both; color: #030303; font-family: "Playfair Display"; font-size: 36px; font-weight: 400; line-height: normal; margin: 0px 0px 10px; outline: 0px !important;">
<strong style="box-sizing: inherit; outline: 0px !important;">3. Self appreciation:</strong></h2>
<ol style="background-color: white; box-sizing: inherit; color: #464646; font-family: "Open Sans"; font-size: 15px; list-style-image: initial; list-style-position: initial; margin: 0px 0px 15px; outline: 0px !important; padding: 0px 0px 0px 20px;">
<li style="box-sizing: inherit; outline: 0px !important;"><h3 style="box-sizing: inherit; clear: both; color: #030303; font-family: "Playfair Display"; font-size: 30px; font-weight: 400; line-height: normal; margin: 0px 0px 10px; outline: 0px !important;">
<strong style="box-sizing: inherit; outline: 0px !important;">Take a self appreciation break:</strong></h3>
<h6 style="box-sizing: inherit; clear: both; color: #030303; font-family: "Playfair Display"; font-size: 20px; font-weight: 400; line-height: normal; margin: 0px 0px 10px; outline: 0px !important;">
Even when you are working on something which is challenging and you face many hurdles, take a short break to pause and reflect on where to go next. Remember, when you have resolve challenging problems there are two advantages</h6>
</li>
</ol>
<ul style="background-color: white; box-sizing: inherit; color: #464646; font-family: "Open Sans"; font-size: 15px; list-style-image: initial; list-style-position: initial; margin: 0px 0px 15px; outline: 0px !important; padding: 0px 0px 0px 20px;">
<li style="box-sizing: inherit; outline: 0px !important;"><h6 style="box-sizing: inherit; clear: both; color: #030303; font-family: "Playfair Display"; font-size: 20px; font-weight: 400; line-height: normal; margin: 0px 0px 10px; outline: 0px !important;">
You will no longer afraid of daunting tasks.</h6>
</li>
<li style="box-sizing: inherit; outline: 0px !important;"><h6 style="box-sizing: inherit; clear: both; color: #030303; font-family: "Playfair Display"; font-size: 20px; font-weight: 400; line-height: normal; margin: 0px 0px 10px; outline: 0px !important;">
Your sense of reassurance makes the task easier.</h6>
</li>
</ul>
<ol start="2" style="background-color: white; box-sizing: inherit; color: #464646; font-family: "Open Sans"; font-size: 15px; list-style-image: initial; list-style-position: initial; margin: 0px 0px 15px; outline: 0px !important; padding: 0px 0px 0px 20px;">
<li style="box-sizing: inherit; outline: 0px !important;"><h3 style="box-sizing: inherit; clear: both; color: #030303; font-family: "Playfair Display"; font-size: 30px; font-weight: 400; line-height: normal; margin: 0px 0px 10px; outline: 0px !important;">
<strong style="box-sizing: inherit; outline: 0px !important;">Write three things about yourself:</strong></h3>
<h6 style="box-sizing: inherit; clear: both; color: #030303; font-family: "Playfair Display"; font-size: 20px; font-weight: 400; line-height: normal; margin: 0px 0px 10px; outline: 0px !important;">
Practice writing at least three things which you like about yourself during the week. No doubt during the week you may not have done everything according the needs of the situation. You may not have measured up to your own expectations, but remember that at the same time, you would have done certain things which were worthy of praise and appreciation. So give yourself a pat on your back by writing three things that you liked about yourself during a particular week.</h6>
</li>
</ol>
<h2 style="background-color: white; box-sizing: inherit; clear: both; color: #030303; font-family: "Playfair Display"; font-size: 36px; font-weight: 400; line-height: normal; margin: 0px 0px 10px; outline: 0px !important;">
<strong style="box-sizing: inherit; outline: 0px !important;">4. Being Practical and practice optimism:</strong></h2>
<ol style="background-color: white; box-sizing: inherit; color: #464646; font-family: "Open Sans"; font-size: 15px; list-style-image: initial; list-style-position: initial; margin: 0px 0px 15px; outline: 0px !important; padding: 0px 0px 0px 20px;">
<li style="box-sizing: inherit; outline: 0px !important;"><h3 style="box-sizing: inherit; clear: both; color: #030303; font-family: "Playfair Display"; font-size: 30px; font-weight: 400; line-height: normal; margin: 0px 0px 10px; outline: 0px !important;">
<strong style="box-sizing: inherit; outline: 0px !important;">Being Practical:</strong></h3>
<h6 style="box-sizing: inherit; clear: both; color: #030303; font-family: "Playfair Display"; font-size: 20px; font-weight: 400; line-height: normal; margin: 0px 0px 10px; outline: 0px !important;">
One must realize that the journey of life is mixed with highs and lows. Mistakes, failures, as also successes are all a part of life. Understanding that this is how life goes on, we can be more practical than if we have unreasonably high expectations.</h6>
</li>
</ol>
<ol start="2" style="background-color: white; box-sizing: inherit; color: #464646; font-family: "Open Sans"; font-size: 15px; list-style-image: initial; list-style-position: initial; margin: 0px 0px 15px; outline: 0px !important; padding: 0px 0px 0px 20px;">
<li style="box-sizing: inherit; outline: 0px !important;"><h3 style="box-sizing: inherit; clear: both; color: #030303; font-family: "Playfair Display"; font-size: 30px; font-weight: 400; line-height: normal; margin: 0px 0px 10px; outline: 0px !important;">

It means that whenever you talk with yourself, talk in a friendly tone, giving some time to contemplate and assess your friendly nature. Never be harsh to yourself. It will also help you not to be harsh with others.</h6>
</li>
</ol>
<ol start="3" style="background-color: white; box-sizing: inherit; color: #464646; font-family: "Open Sans"; font-size: 15px; list-style-image: initial; list-style-position: initial; margin: 0px 0px 15px; outline: 0px !important; padding: 0px 0px 0px 20px;">
<li style="box-sizing: inherit; outline: 0px !important;"><h3 style="box-sizing: inherit; clear: both; color: #030303; font-family: "Playfair Display"; font-size: 30px; font-weight: 400; line-height: normal; margin: 0px 0px 10px; outline: 0px !important;">

<strong style="box-sizing: inherit; outline: 0px !important;">How to overcome depression?</strong></h3>
<h5 style="background-color: white; box-sizing: inherit; clear: both; color: #030303; font-family: "Playfair Display"; font-size: 22px; font-weight: 400; line-height: normal; margin: 0px 0px 10px; outline: 0px !important;">
What is depression? Often, a demanding situation creates a confusion. It causes mental stress, physical stress and also psychological stress. When a person is not able to cope up with the stress created by these difficult situations he or she falls into depression. It is a state when the person the starts feeling thatthere is no way out for them. Life appears to be difficult and spirit of hopelessness prevails. In such circumstances the person becomes a pessimist and feels that there is no solution to their problems. In such a hopeless situation the victim finds that life is the absolutely meaningless. In extreme cases the victim also thinks of ending the life by committing a suicide.</h5>

<strong style="box-sizing: inherit; outline: 0px !important;">What are the physical symptoms of such a state</strong>?</h3>

<h5 style="background-color: white; box-sizing: inherit; clear: both; color: #030303; font-family: "Playfair Display"; font-size: 22px; font-weight: 400; line-height: normal; margin: 0px 0px 10px; outline: 0px !important;">
The person does not feel like eating anything. Appetite is totally lost. Even if the victim was fond of eating or a foodie, they will no longer like to eat anything. The interest of food is lost because of the depression.The second indication is that the person keeps on brooding on the same spot again and again. The mind does notwork creatively anymore. Old problems appear to be very large and solutions not to be seen. Even if the victim was fond of music, in the state of depression he or she will not like to listen to music ,State of hopelessness becomes a sea of trouble and it is difficult to come out of it.</h5>
<h3 style="background-color: white; box-sizing: inherit; clear: both; color: #030303; font-family: "Playfair Display"; font-size: 30px; font-weight: 400; line-height: normal; margin: 0px 0px 10px; outline: 0px !important;">
<strong style="box-sizing: inherit; outline: 0px !important;">2.Once, we understand the state of depression or what is depression, it is necessary to find out the reasons</strong>.</h3>
<h5 style="background-color: white; box-sizing: inherit; clear: both; color: #030303; font-family: "Playfair Display"; font-size: 22px; font-weight: 400; line-height: normal; margin: 0px 0px 10px; outline: 0px !important;">
Each person may have different reasons. Some of them maybe common but in order to work out the solution, it is necessary to understand the specific reasons which have pushed the victim into depression. For students, it could be classroom difficulties, something that has happened in the school, in the class or among peers. The peer pressure takes its toll and often creates an unwanted and undesirable pressure. Likewise, for an executive, it can be a boardroom pressure. If a person knows something but he is not able to explain for whatever reasons, he comes under pressure. Some people are able to adjust to these situations or to difficult people, while others are not able to do so. Further, pressure can also be caused by inadequate social interaction. If there is not sufficient trust among the spouses and each tries to hide certain things even that can create a pressure.</h5>
<h3 style="background-color: white; box-sizing: inherit; clear: both; color: #030303; font-family: "Playfair Display"; font-size: 30px; font-weight: 400; line-height: normal; margin: 0px 0px 10px; outline: 0px !important;">
<strong style="box-sizing: inherit; outline: 0px !important;">3.Studies have revealed that US is the most depressed country</strong>.</h3>
<h5 style="background-color: white; box-sizing: inherit; clear: both; color: #030303; font-family: "Playfair Display"; font-size: 22px; font-weight: 400; line-height: normal; margin: 0px 0px 10px; outline: 0px !important;">
She is followed by Columbia, Ukraine, Netherlands and France. Survey reveals that rich are more depressed than the poor. Events of life are important to create an impact on the psyche of a person. While there are less variations in the life of the poor the same can be alarming among the people who are opulent.Further, depression can also be caused due to some infirmities in the personality. Some people are over emotional. They may also be negative thinkers. The negative attitude of a person surely takes him towards depression. It is necessary, therefore to ensure that the attitude of a person is appropriate to correct the shortcoming.</h5>
<ol start="4" style="background-color: white; box-sizing: inherit; color: #464646; font-family: "Open Sans"; font-size: 15px; list-style-image: initial; list-style-position: initial; margin: 0px 0px 15px; outline: 0px !important; padding: 0px 0px 0px 20px;">
<li style="box-sizing: inherit; outline: 0px !important;"><h3 style="box-sizing: inherit; clear: both; color: #030303; font-family: "Playfair Display"; font-size: 30px; font-weight: 400; line-height: normal; margin: 0px 0px 10px; outline: 0px !important;">
<strong style="box-sizing: inherit; outline: 0px !important;">Depression can also be a serious medical problem</strong>.</h3>

<h5 style="background-color: white; box-sizing: inherit; clear: both; color: #030303; font-family: "Playfair Display"; font-size: 22px; font-weight: 400; line-height: normal; margin: 0px 0px 10px; outline: 0px !important;">
The person who continuously worries also finds the life a burden. His hopes are Diminished. His desire to do something creative dies out. Not able to do anything imaginative, the person feels useless and therefore the depression aggravates.</h5>
<div style="background-color: white; box-sizing: inherit; color: #464646; font-family: "Open Sans"; font-size: 15px; margin-bottom: 15px; outline: 0px !important; text-align: justify;">

<strong style="box-sizing: inherit; outline: 0px !important;">Finally, we must talk about how to come out of depression.</strong></h3>
</li>
</ol>
<h5 style="background-color: white; box-sizing: inherit; clear: both; color: #030303; font-family: "Playfair Display"; font-size: 22px; font-weight: 400; line-height: normal; margin: 0px 0px 10px; outline: 0px !important;">
The first important thing is that one must maintain a proper regime of exercise. Exercise helps. Next in importance is sleep.One need to sleep 7 to 8 hours daily. If one does not go to gym or have any kind of rigorous exercise, just a morning walk for about half an hour is also found very useful.It is also necessary to he eat healthy food. Junk food or fried and spicy food create indigestion which in turn reflects in ones energy level. It also reduces mental alertness. The healthy food includes lot of fiber. It is found in fruits and vegetables. One needs to take a lot of salad along with the cereals.</h5>
<h3 style="background-color: white; box-sizing: inherit; clear: both; color: #030303; font-family: "Playfair Display"; font-size: 30px; font-weight: 400; line-height: normal; margin: 0px 0px 10px; outline: 0px !important;">

<ol start="6" style="background-color: white; box-sizing: inherit; color: #464646; font-family: "Open Sans"; font-size: 15px; list-style-image: initial; list-style-position: initial; margin: 0px 0px 15px; outline: 0px !important; padding: 0px 0px 0px 20px;">
<li style="box-sizing: inherit; outline: 0px !important;"><h3 style="box-sizing: inherit; clear: both; color: #030303; font-family: "Playfair Display"; font-size: 30px; font-weight: 400; line-height: normal; margin: 0px 0px 10px; outline: 0px !important;">
<strong style="box-sizing: inherit; outline: 0px !important;">Keeping a aloof and being lonely</strong></h3>
</li>
</ol>
<h5 style="background-color: white; box-sizing: inherit; clear: both; color: #030303; font-family: "Playfair Display"; font-size: 22px; font-weight: 400; line-height: normal; margin: 0px 0px 10px; outline: 0px !important;">
Can be another cause for depression. Man is a social animal and it is necessary that we should mingle with others. When we interact with others we exchange ideas which makes moments interesting. On the other side if you remain alone, you keep on brooding which does not create any imaginative environment. And finally one can gain strength of character by reading the books of the great leaders. Abraham Lincoln the most respect of U.S president is a great example. He failed in business, public life, lost his beloved in young age ,did become a mental</h5>
<h5 style="background-color: white; box-sizing: inherit; clear: both; color: #030303; font-family: "Playfair Display"; font-size: 22px; font-weight: 400; line-height: normal; margin: 0px 0px 10px; outline: 0px !important;">
wreck but came out as a winner due to his resilience and positive altitude. so we must be resilient. These and such other examples are enough to convince us that we ourselves are not too bad. The self esteem which might have gone down returns because there is a ray of hope.</h5>
<h5 style="background-color: white; box-sizing: inherit; clear: both; color: #030303; font-family: "Playfair Display"; font-size: 22px; font-weight: 400; line-height: normal; margin: 0px 0px 10px; outline: 0px !important;">

<div style="background-color: white; box-sizing: inherit; color: #464646; font-family: "Open Sans"; font-size: 15px; margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em; outline: 0px !important; text-align: justify;">
<img src="http://blog.nimblefoundation.org/wp-content/uploads/2018/08/storytellingWS1-300x188.jpeg" /></div>
<br />
<br />
<h5 style="background-color: white; box-sizing: inherit; clear: both; color: #030303; font-family: "Playfair Display"; font-size: 22px; font-weight: 400; line-height: normal; margin: 0px 0px 10px; outline: 0px !important;">
We all know that storytelling has assumed a great importance today. I have use the word storytelling deliberately so that you may disagree with me at this stage. But if I say, presentations in the commercial world today has become necessary, you will surely agree with me. Because, that exactly is the reason why you are here.</h5>
<h5 style="background-color: white; box-sizing: inherit; clear: both; color: #030303; font-family: "Playfair Display"; font-size: 22px; font-weight: 400; line-height: normal; margin: 0px 0px 10px; outline: 0px !important;">
These presentations are nothing but persuasive speeches which can be effective only if it is told in an interesting fashion; only if its treated as storytelling. The facts alone do not interest any audience. Facts clothed in interesting stories do.</h5>
<h5 style="background-color: white; box-sizing: inherit; clear: both; color: #030303; font-family: "Playfair Display"; font-size: 22px; font-weight: 400; line-height: normal; margin: 0px 0px 10px; outline: 0px !important;">
About 2500 years ago, Aristotle, the Greek philosopher wrote a book about persuasion. It is called The Rhetoric. The Rhetoric is still a classic par excellence on the art of persuasion, on the art of Public Speaking.</h5>
<h5 style="background-color: white; box-sizing: inherit; clear: both; color: #030303; font-family: "Playfair Display"; font-size: 22px; font-weight: 400; line-height: normal; margin: 0px 0px 10px; outline: 0px !important;">
Among other things, it talks about three important factors of an interesting speech. These are: Pathos, Ethos and Logos. Before I talk about these factors and explain them, let me also emphasize what was repeatedly done by Aristotle in The Rhetoric. He repeated said that the speech must interest the audience. It must be told in an interesting manner. Impressing the audience is critical. Because if the speech does not interest the audience; they do not listen to you with the rapt attention; the entire purpose of the speech is lost.</h5>
<h5 style="background-color: white; box-sizing: inherit; clear: both; color: #030303; font-family: "Playfair Display"; font-size: 22px; font-weight: 400; line-height: normal; margin: 0px 0px 10px; outline: 0px !important;">
Now, coming back to Pathos Ethos and Logos!</h5>
<h5 style="background-color: white; box-sizing: inherit; clear: both; color: #030303; font-family: "Playfair Display"; font-size: 22px; font-weight: 400; line-height: normal; margin: 0px 0px 10px; outline: 0px !important;">
Pathos is purpose; the needs of the audience, their desires, their wishes; their dreams and their objectives. So the speaker must touch upon and impact the audience on what they want to hear. They will listen and assimilate only if the information is delivered and supported by real life experiences. Plain facts, statistics or spreadsheet details do not deserve a live audience; these do not deserve a live speaker. Such details can be shared by email, or any other channel of communication. In fact, your presence is what has pulled the people to the place of presentation. Therefore, you have to fulfill or least show that your speech is filled with your personal experiences which are closely related to your subject. Further that these real stories will inspire them to follow their stories, their dreams. They should be made to feel that they have come to the right place to know the right path.</h5>
<h5 style="background-color: white; box-sizing: inherit; clear: both; color: #030303; font-family: "Playfair Display"; font-size: 22px; font-weight: 400; line-height: normal; margin: 0px 0px 10px; outline: 0px !important;">
Next we come to Ethos. Ethos means your credibility, your competence to address your audience on the subject. This will require you to talk about your knowledge and expertise about the subject. But you will be able to impress them only with your personal experiences or experiences of those who are connected with you. Only facts and figures will not create an impact. These are important to support your stories.</h5>
<h5 style="background-color: white; box-sizing: inherit; clear: both; color: #030303; font-family: "Playfair Display"; font-size: 22px; font-weight: 400; line-height: normal; margin: 0px 0px 10px; outline: 0px !important;">
Reliving your experiences and relating your experiences is nothing but storytelling. Storytelling will create a lasting impression when these are told effectively. Its important what you say but it is equally important how you say it, if not more.</h5>
<h5 style="background-color: white; box-sizing: inherit; clear: both; color: #030303; font-family: "Playfair Display"; font-size: 22px; font-weight: 400; line-height: normal; margin: 0px 0px 10px; outline: 0px !important;">
Finally Logos: Logos details the evidence which you have collected about your proposition. You may collect facts, statistics or testimonials provided these address different categories of your audience, their aspirations, their needs and their desires. One part of your audience is interested in the subject and will subscribe to your views. But there will be another part of the audience which has to be convinced. They are just neutral. They have not formed any opinion about the subject. You have to persuade them. And you can do so only with your personal stories or any other story which is relevant to what you are going to tell. Just plain facts or statistics will not do the trick. There has to be something extra, something more which you will provide by the way in which you deliver your stories. How you relate the story is extremely important. Good stories are told but great stories are performed. You need to become an excellent story performer. Your storytelling should always create impact. It should always impress your audience. While you have to always remember the three magical words of Aristotle: Pathos, Ethos and Logos, you must also pull out and relate interesting stories to deliver for a highly impactful speech. That will also encourage you to collect more experiences which will fortify your position on the subject when you come for your next presentations.</h5>
<h5 style="background-color: white; box-sizing: inherit; clear: both; color: #030303; font-family: "Playfair Display"; font-size: 22px; font-weight: 400; line-height: normal; margin: 0px 0px 10px; outline: 0px !important;">
Remember speech is nothing if it is not storytelling & Storytelling is nothing if it is not performed to support your proposition.</h5>
<h5 style="background-color: white; box-sizing: inherit; clear: both; color: #030303; font-family: "Playfair Display"; font-size: 22px; font-weight: 400; line-height: normal; margin: 0px 0px 10px; outline: 0px !important;">

A person with self-confidence generally like themselves, is </span><span style="text-align: justify;">willing to take risks to achieve their personal and professional goals. Self-confidence is something that you learn to build upbecause the challenging world of business and life in general, can collapse it. Someone who lacks self-confidence, however, is less likely to feel that they can achieve their goals, and tends to have a negative perspective about themselves and what they hope to gain in life. Self-confidence is like learning to deal with any negative emotions. You should learn to set goals and take risks, as well, since meeting challenges can further improve your self-confidence.</span></div>
<h3 style="background-color: white; box-sizing: inherit; clear: both; color: #030303; font-family: "Playfair Display"; font-size: 30px; font-weight: 400; line-height: normal; margin: 0px 0px 10px; outline: 0px !important;">
Why Need Confidence?</h3>
<div style="background-color: white; box-sizing: inherit; color: #464646; font-family: "Open Sans"; font-size: 15px; margin-bottom: 15px; outline: 0px !important; text-align: justify;">
Being confident about your strengths helps you draw courage and resolution when the going gets tough in life. It helps you to keep things in perspective and back yourself when everyone else says that the task ahead is nearly impossible to complete in the stipulated time.</div>
<div style="background-color: white; box-sizing: inherit; color: #464646; font-family: "Open Sans"; font-size: 15px; margin-bottom: 15px; outline: 0px !important; text-align: justify;">
A confident person has enough ability to understand his limitations and knows how to make up for that with his resolve and strengths.</div>
<div style="background-color: white; box-sizing: inherit; color: #464646; font-family: "Open Sans"; font-size: 15px; margin-bottom: 15px; outline: 0px !important; text-align: justify;">
Now that we have understood how self-confidence depends on your perceived ability to manage an action, lets discuss the actions that help to cultivate a sense of self-confidence.</div>
<h2 style="background-color: white; box-sizing: inherit; clear: both; color: #030303; font-family: "Playfair Display"; font-size: 36px; font-weight: 400; line-height: normal; margin: 0px 0px 10px; outline: 0px !important; text-align: center;">
<img src="http://blog.nimblefoundation.org/wp-content/uploads/2018/12/common-attributes-of-the-self-confident-1-300x169.jpg" /></h2>
<h2 style="background-color: white; box-sizing: inherit; clear: both; color: #030303; font-family: "Playfair Display"; font-size: 36px; font-weight: 400; line-height: normal; margin: 0px 0px 10px; outline: 0px !important;">
Significance of confidence</h2>
<h2 style="background-color: white; box-sizing: inherit; clear: both; color: #030303; font-family: "Playfair Display"; font-size: 36px; font-weight: 400; line-height: normal; margin: 0px 0px 10px; outline: 0px !important;">
1. Action-oriented</h2>
<div style="background-color: white; box-sizing: inherit; color: #464646; font-family: "Open Sans"; font-size: 15px; margin-bottom: 15px; outline: 0px !important; text-align: justify;">
It is your attitude that brings positivity and that which makes you action-oriented. Therefore it is necessary that on anything and everything you should take positive actions. When I say positive action, I mean that is should be your decisive step towards solving any problem.</div>
<h2 style="background-color: white; box-sizing: inherit; clear: both; color: #030303; font-family: "Playfair Display"; font-size: 36px; font-weight: 400; line-height: normal; margin: 0px 0px 10px; outline: 0px !important;">
2. Be active</h2>
<div style="background-color: white; box-sizing: inherit; color: #464646; font-family: "Open Sans"; font-size: 15px; margin-bottom: 15px; outline: 0px !important; text-align: justify;">
Related to this is overcoming procrastination. When you are action-oriented, there is no room for procrastination. You become active, you look forward to taking some action to realize your short-term or long-term goals. In fact, procrastination is a habit which takes you back. You don’t like to do anything. Inaction fills your life. In fact, it destroys your life force.</div>
<h2 style="background-color: white; box-sizing: inherit; clear: both; color: #030303; font-family: "Playfair Display"; font-size: 36px; font-weight: 400; line-height: normal; margin: 0px 0px 10px; outline: 0px !important;">
3. Self-motivation</h2>
<div style="background-color: white; box-sizing: inherit; color: #464646; font-family: "Open Sans"; font-size: 15px; margin-bottom: 15px; outline: 0px !important; text-align: justify;">
How to become action oriented or how should we be more active that requires self-motivation. Self-motivation comes easily even if we have small successes. There are some jobs in a day which would hardly take a few minutes each. When you complete these you get a sense of satisfaction which motivates you to take up more challenging jobs. This process snowballs into you becoming a man of action.</div>
<h2 style="background-color: white; box-sizing: inherit; clear: both; color: #030303; font-family: "Playfair Display"; font-size: 36px; font-weight: 400; line-height: normal; margin: 0px 0px 10px; outline: 0px !important;">
4. Free from chaos</h2>
<div style="background-color: white; box-sizing: inherit; color: #464646; font-family: "Open Sans"; font-size: 15px; margin-bottom: 15px; outline: 0px !important; text-align: justify;">
It is very important to keep your mind free of clutter. On an average 50,000 thoughts come to an individuals mind in a day. But they do not come one after another. They jumble together and create the clutter. It is like we are doing a lot of research with the help of our computer, we select some information and reject the other, we keep working as our mind thinks on the topic. Now unless we clean the cache memory, our mobile or computer becomes slow. This is because of the clutter. Likewise, when there is a clutter of thoughts because they are not cleaned, it causes confusion in the mind and the efficiency of thinking and decision making suffers.</div>
<div style="background-color: white; box-sizing: inherit; color: #464646; font-family: "Open Sans"; font-size: 15px; margin-bottom: 15px; outline: 0px !important; text-align: justify;">
When we talk about cleaning the clutter, it would be helpful if we have no clutter on the desks, in the wardrobe, where you sit etc. So in each and everything keeps clutter away.</div>
<div style="background-color: white; box-sizing: inherit; color: #464646; font-family: "Open Sans"; font-size: 15px; margin-bottom: 15px; outline: 0px !important; text-align: justify;">
Your attitude and habits are intertwined. Habits affect your attitude, which in turn breeds good or bad habits.</div>
<div style="background-color: white; box-sizing: inherit; color: #464646; font-family: "Open Sans"; font-size: 15px; margin-bottom: 15px; outline: 0px !important; text-align: center;">
<img src="http://blog.nimblefoundation.org/wp-content/uploads/2018/12/self-esteem-300x204.jpg" /></div>
<h2 style="background-color: white; box-sizing: inherit; clear: both; color: #030303; font-family: "Playfair Display"; font-size: 36px; font-weight: 400; line-height: normal; margin: 0px 0px 10px; outline: 0px !important;">
5. Put care into your appearance</h2>
<div style="background-color: white; box-sizing: inherit; color: #464646; font-family: "Open Sans"; font-size: 15px; margin-bottom: 15px; outline: 0px !important; text-align: justify;">
You must dress neatly. Choose color combinations wisely and wear clothes with a perfect fit as per the fashion of the day. It is not difficult to know this as you are exposed to media. Just look at the elegant people what kind of clothes they wear and take inspiration from them.</div>
<h2 style="background-color: white; box-sizing: inherit; clear: both; color: #030303; font-family: "Playfair Display"; font-size: 36px; font-weight: 400; line-height: normal; margin: 0px 0px 10px; outline: 0px !important;">
6. Take care of yourself</h2>
<div style="background-color: white; box-sizing: inherit; color: #464646; font-family: "Open Sans"; font-size: 15px; margin-bottom: 15px; outline: 0px !important; text-align: justify;">
Grooming is extremely important for self-confidence. This is taking care of your personal hygiene. For example, if your nails are uncut, it will affect your self-confidence to a small extent. Likewise, hair should be well trimmed. If you are keeping a beard, that also should be elegantly trimmed. Teeth must not be yellowish. Brushing should not be in a hurry, take your time and use a proper toothpaste. In any case the whiter your teeth, the more beautiful your smile. Similarly keep the face clean, washing it as many times as you can even though with plain water.</div>
<div style="background-color: white; box-sizing: inherit; color: #464646; font-family: "Open Sans"; font-size: 15px; margin-bottom: 15px; outline: 0px !important; text-align: justify;">
<img alt="Image result for self confidence" class="aligncenter" height="248" src="http://blog.nimblefoundation.org/wp-content/uploads/2018/12/self-confidence-happiness-790x360.jpg" style="border-style: none; box-sizing: inherit; clear: both; display: block; height: auto; margin: 5px auto 10px; max-width: 100%; outline: 0px !important;" width="544" /></div>
<h2 style="background-color: white; box-sizing: inherit; clear: both; color: #030303; font-family: "Playfair Display"; font-size: 36px; font-weight: 400; line-height: normal; margin: 0px 0px 10px; outline: 0px !important;">
7. Always stand tall</h2>
<div style="background-color: white; box-sizing: inherit; color: #464646; font-family: "Open Sans"; font-size: 15px; margin-bottom: 15px; outline: 0px !important; text-align: justify;">
You must always stand tall. Imaging a finger over your head and you are trying to touch the finger with the top of your head. Your posture will be good and will increase your height by half to one inch. Shoulders should not be drooping and the chest should neither stretch outward, pushed downwards. The important thing is that you should never develop a pot belly.</div>
<div style="background-color: white; box-sizing: inherit; color: #464646; font-family: "Open Sans"; font-size: 15px; margin-bottom: 15px; outline: 0px !important; text-align: center;">
<img src="http://blog.nimblefoundation.org/wp-content/uploads/2018/12/getty_506910700_123429-300x139.jpg" /></div>
<h2 style="background-color: white; box-sizing: inherit; clear: both; color: #030303; font-family: "Playfair Display"; font-size: 36px; font-weight: 400; line-height: normal; margin: 0px 0px 10px; outline: 0px !important;">
8. Be Happy always</h2>
<div style="background-color: white; box-sizing: inherit; color: #464646; font-family: "Open Sans"; font-size: 15px; margin-bottom: 15px; outline: 0px !important; text-align: justify;">
The best part of your dress is your smile. Try to develop a very pleasant smile. Obviously, you cant have a laughter smile for everyone it may be a good idea to practice different kinds of smile that you may use on different occasions with different people. You cant smile at a stranger the way you greet a friend you are meeting after a long time. Yet smile you must.</div>
<h2 style="background-color: white; box-sizing: inherit; clear: both; color: #030303; font-family: "Playfair Display"; font-size: 36px; font-weight: 400; line-height: normal; margin: 0px 0px 10px; outline: 0px !important;">
9. Maintain your physical fitness</h2>
<div style="background-color: white; box-sizing: inherit; color: #464646; font-family: "Open Sans"; font-size: 15px; margin-bottom: 15px; outline: 0px !important; text-align: justify;">
How you maintain your body and stand tall and groom depends upon your physical fitness efforts. This should never be ignored. Always consider that nothing significant howsoever small comes easily. Every good thing requires personal attention and necessary action. Therefore exercising regularly is a must. Further never strain your energy. Assess your limits of physical work and remain within limits.</div>
<h2 style="background-color: white; box-sizing: inherit; clear: both; color: #030303; font-family: "Playfair Display"; font-size: 36px; font-weight: 400; line-height: normal; margin: 0px 0px 10px; outline: 0px !important;">
10.Think positive</h2>
<div style="background-color: white; box-sizing: inherit; color: #464646; font-family: "Open Sans"; font-size: 15px; margin-bottom: 15px; outline: 0px !important; text-align: justify;">
When we talk about mental well being, the first thing is that one must have positive thoughts. They say thoughts convert into decisions, which in turn create the actions. Thus it is very important to ensure that one all the time thinks positive. It is difficult, but the only way one can handle the mind is to keep on doing something which contributes to your goal. Positive actions encourage you to think positively in all aspects of life.</div>
<div style="background-color: white; box-sizing: inherit; color: #464646; font-family: "Open Sans"; font-size: 15px; margin-bottom: 15px; outline: 0px !important; text-align: center;">
<img src="http://blog.nimblefoundation.org/wp-content/uploads/2018/12/2015-12-04-1449208996-7133551-BelieveinYourselfBeYou21-thumb-300x200.png" /></div>
<h2 style="background-color: white; box-sizing: inherit; clear: both; color: #030303; font-family: "Playfair Display"; font-size: 36px; font-weight: 400; line-height: normal; margin: 0px 0px 10px; outline: 0px !important;">
11.Kill negativity</h2>
<div style="background-color: white; box-sizing: inherit; color: #464646; font-family: "Open Sans"; font-size: 15px; margin-bottom: 15px; outline: 0px !important; text-align: justify;">
When we keep on focusing on creating positive thoughts it also helps to kill the negativity which each one of us has in some measure. What is negative thinking? Whenever there is a job to be done, instead of focusing on actions, and on solutions, one starts focusing on the problems. No doubt, problems are always there, but if we keep on thinking about them they appear larger than they actually are. They discourage a person from pursuing challenging tasks. Therefore it is imperative to eradicate negativity from one’s personality. It does not mean overlooking the problems that we have to face, it only means that you factor these problems and keep on focusing on the positive solutions and acting on them.</div>
<h2 style="background-color: white; box-sizing: inherit; clear: both; color: #030303; font-family: "Playfair Display"; font-size: 36px; font-weight: 400; line-height: normal; margin: 0px 0px 10px; outline: 0px !important;">
12.Get to know yourself</h2>
<div style="background-color: white; box-sizing: inherit; color: #464646; font-family: "Open Sans"; font-size: 15px; margin-bottom: 15px; outline: 0px !important; text-align: justify;">
Often times we keep on following our routine, we pursue the routine as if that is only life; we forget the importance of defining our significance in pursuing some mission. Now, this requires a proper understanding of your own self. Contemplate and observe what are your weaknesses and what are your strengths. It is only when you know what are your weaknesses, you can make a plan to resolve and overcome these or mitigate these weaknesses. At the same time, we must leverage our strength. Everyone possesses some talent; everyone is good in something or the other, it is only when we recognize that we can make use of our strengths. It also helps us to define and pursue our goals.</div>
<h2 style="background-color: white; box-sizing: inherit; clear: both; color: #030303; font-family: "Playfair Display"; font-size: 36px; font-weight: 400; line-height: normal; margin: 0px 0px 10px; outline: 0px !important;">
13. Ability to change habits</h2>
<div style="background-color: white; box-sizing: inherit; color: #464646; font-family: "Open Sans"; font-size: 15px; margin-bottom: 15px; outline: 0px !important; text-align: justify;">
We are products of our habits. During the day we do many things without thinking. We carry on these activities due to a force of habit. We might observe that certain habits are coming in the way of our development, but we may feel that these are old habits and it is difficult to change. Once we accept that we cannot change our habits we are creating a serious roadblock in the development of our personality and our career. It is best to make small changes at a time and proceed to remove all the habits which we need to change.</div>
<h2 style="background-color: white; box-sizing: inherit; clear: both; color: #030303; font-family: "Playfair Display"; font-size: 36px; font-weight: 400; line-height: normal; margin: 0px 0px 10px; outline: 0px !important;">
14. Preparation</h2>
<div style="background-color: white; box-sizing: inherit; color: #464646; font-family: "Open Sans"; font-size: 15px; margin-bottom: 15px; outline: 0px !important; text-align: justify;">
One should never be overconfident that he or she can handle any situation. We should always prepare. The effort involved in preparation depends upon the importance of the job or the demands of the occasion. Even when we are meeting somebody who can impact our lives, we must contemplate, think and be clear to ourselves about the objectives of our meeting. This will enable us to remain focused. However, this can happen only if we habitually prepare for all tasks, all meetings, and anything new that we may be wanting to do.</div>
<div style="background-color: white; box-sizing: inherit; color: #464646; font-family: "Open Sans"; font-size: 15px; margin-bottom: 15px; outline: 0px !important; text-align: justify;">
<img alt="Related image" class="aligncenter" src="http://blog.nimblefoundation.org/wp-content/uploads/2018/12/Motivational-thought-for-the-day-Inhale-Confidence-Exhale-Doubt-Go-ahead-and-Conquer-your-fears-Achieve-your-dreams-Have-a-great-day.jpg" style="border-style: none; box-sizing: inherit; clear: both; display: block; height: auto; margin: 5px auto 10px; max-width: 100%; outline: 0px !important;" /></div>
<h2 style="background-color: white; box-sizing: inherit; clear: both; color: #030303; font-family: "Playfair Display"; font-size: 36px; font-weight: 400; line-height: normal; margin: 0px 0px 10px; outline: 0px !important;">
15. Focus on solutions</h2>
<div style="background-color: white; box-sizing: inherit; color: #464646; font-family: "Open Sans"; font-size: 15px; margin-bottom: 15px; outline: 0px !important; text-align: justify;">
Last but not the least point in this section of mental well being is training the mind to focus only on solutions. Finding solutions should interest us all the time. This may require acquiring knowledge, this may require an application of mind. This may even require seeking help from others. However, whatever it takes, we must do and focus only on solutions to the problems which we are bound to face during the journey of life. In our greatest book of knowledge the Bhagavad Gita it is always said that we must fight our battles. Fighting the battles, in other words, means finding solutions and acting upon them.</div>
<h2 style="background-color: white; box-sizing: inherit; clear: both; color: #030303; font-family: "Playfair Display"; font-size: 36px; font-weight: 400; line-height: normal; margin: 0px 0px 10px; outline: 0px !important;">
16. Volunteering</h2>
<div style="background-color: white; box-sizing: inherit; color: #464646; font-family: "Open Sans"; font-size: 15px; margin-bottom: 15px; outline: 0px !important; text-align: justify;">
When we talk about volunteering, we must remember that we are a part of society. Society can progress with the contributions of everyone. There are lots of organizations which are working towards this cause. Unfortunately, there could be some, which in the name of volunteering, try to fulfill their own agenda, which is often making money. But for an individual, it is an aspect of the character. When you genuinely volunteer and work for a cause without expectation, you develop an inner strength.</div>
<h2 style="background-color: white; box-sizing: inherit; clear: both; color: #030303; font-family: "Playfair Display"; font-size: 36px; font-weight: 400; line-height: normal; margin: 0px 0px 10px; outline: 0px !important;">
17. Being grateful</h2>
<div style="background-color: white; box-sizing: inherit; color: #464646; font-family: "Open Sans"; font-size: 15px; margin-bottom: 15px; outline: 0px !important; text-align: justify;">
Each of us is endowed with a lot of tangible and intangible assets. It is necessary for us to be grateful to the almighty. We may not have all that we want to have. We may feel why others are more prosperous, nevertheless, that should never deter us from being grateful for everything that we have.</div>
<h2 style="background-color: white; box-sizing: inherit; clear: both; color: #030303; font-family: "Playfair Display"; font-size: 36px; font-weight: 400; line-height: normal; margin: 0px 0px 10px; outline: 0px !important;">
18.Being kind and generous</h2>
<div style="background-color: white; box-sizing: inherit; color: #464646; font-family: "Open Sans"; font-size: 15px; margin-bottom: 15px; outline: 0px !important; text-align: justify;">
This is a very important part of the character. If you are stingy and unkind, it will always prick your conscience, until you become a villain in your own estimation. Under no circumstances, one should take sadistic pleasure by bringing other people down or even showing others down. Being stingy is also equally bad. All the time you are engaged in worrisome calculations. That is not a good life to live. On the other side, if you are kind and generous, it helps you to build your self-esteem. You start respecting yourself. We must always remember that if don’t respect ourselves, how can we expect others to respect us.</div>
<h2 style="background-color: white; box-sizing: inherit; clear: both; color: #030303; font-family: "Playfair Display"; font-size: 36px; font-weight: 400; line-height: normal; margin: 0px 0px 10px; outline: 0px !important;">
19. Know your principles and live them</h2>
<div style="background-color: white; box-sizing: inherit; color: #464646; font-family: "Open Sans"; font-size: 15px; margin-bottom: 15px; outline: 0px !important; text-align: justify;">
Character means following certain principles. It also means that these principles are followed as a matter of choice and not under compulsion. Therefore it is extremely essential that you define your principles. It could be inspired by your role models, these could be inspired by the historical heroes, or these could also be a gift of your family elders. Having defined your principles, you must follow them in a disciplined manner. This may be inconvenient at times, but true character means that in spite of facing difficulties you stick to principles. That is what is called living your principles.</div>
<div style="background-color: white; box-sizing: inherit; color: #464646; font-family: "Open Sans"; font-size: 15px; margin-bottom: 15px; outline: 0px !important; text-align: justify;">
<img alt="Image result for self confidence" class="aligncenter" src="http://blog.nimblefoundation.org/wp-content/uploads/2018/12/a360caa1ee5700b5ca58c1e2e2326eff.jpg" style="border-style: none; box-sizing: inherit; clear: both; display: block; height: auto; margin: 5px auto 10px; max-width: 100%; outline: 0px !important;" /></div>
<h2 style="background-color: white; box-sizing: inherit; clear: both; color: #030303; font-family: "Playfair Display"; font-size: 36px; font-weight: 400; line-height: normal; margin: 0px 0px 10px; outline: 0px !important;">
20. Empower yourself with knowledge</h2>
<div style="background-color: white; box-sizing: inherit; color: #464646; font-family: "Open Sans"; font-size: 15px; margin-bottom: 15px; outline: 0px !important; text-align: justify;">
Last but not the least, strong character requires that you keep on acquiring knowledge. Knowledge is endless. You must always have the curiosity to discover the unknown, curiosity to have a better perspective of life-based on your experiences and your learning. Reading should be a part of each individuals life, and is a necessary step in self-development for enhancing the character and developing self-confidence.</div>
<div style="background-color: white; box-sizing: inherit; color: #464646; font-family: "Open Sans"; font-size: 15px; margin-bottom: 15px; outline: 0px !important; text-align: justify;">
A careful and continuous pursuit of the above steps will enable us to develop a supreme sense of self- confidence.</div>
<div style="background-color: white; box-sizing: inherit; color: #464646; font-family: "Open Sans"; font-size: 15px; margin-bottom: 15px; outline: 0px !important; text-align: justify;">
Thanks for reading.</div>

<div style="background-color: white; box-sizing: inherit; color: #464646; font-family: "Open Sans"; font-size: 15px; margin-bottom: 15px; outline: 0px !important; text-align: justify;">

Common sense, defined as “sound judgment derived from experience rather than study,” is one of the most revered qualities in America. It evokes images of early and simpler times in which industrious men and women built our country into what it is today. People with common sense are seen as reasonable, down to earth, reliable, and practical.</div>
<div style="background-color: white; box-sizing: inherit; color: #464646; font-family: "Open Sans"; font-size: 15px; margin-bottom: 15px; outline: 0px !important; text-align: justify;">
Successful people have one thing in common above all else. Sure they work their asses off in pursuit of their goals, but there is another, less spoken about tactic which you can start using right away.</div>
<div style="background-color: white; box-sizing: inherit; color: #464646; font-family: "Open Sans"; font-size: 15px; margin-bottom: 15px; outline: 0px !important; text-align: justify;">
Its called common sense.</div>
<div style="background-color: white; box-sizing: inherit; color: #464646; font-family: "Open Sans"; font-size: 15px; margin-bottom: 15px; outline: 0px !important; text-align: justify;">
And you can make drastic changes to your life by just following these 6 simple rules</div>
<div style="background-color: white; box-sizing: inherit; color: #464646; font-family: "Open Sans"; font-size: 15px; margin-bottom: 15px; outline: 0px !important; text-align: justify;">
The lack of common sense boils down to two things. Selfishness and ego. People today place so much stock in being right all the time, in winning even when there is nothing to win or lose, that they have lost touched with the most basic of human functions. Common sense.</div>
<div style="background-color: white; box-sizing: inherit; color: #464646; font-family: "Open Sans"; font-size: 15px; margin-bottom: 15px; outline: 0px !important; text-align: justify;">
Before long, the lack of common sense and the placement of burden on every one and everything else in this world to accommodate it, will cause people to discontinue thinking at all. At least for themselves. Then what?</div>
<div style="background-color: white; box-sizing: inherit; color: #464646; font-family: "Open Sans"; font-size: 15px; margin-bottom: 15px; outline: 0px !important; text-align: justify;">
<img src="https://www.professorshouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/men-166.jpg" style="border-style: none; box-sizing: inherit; display: block; height: auto; max-width: 100%; outline: 0px !important;" /></div>
<div style="background-color: white; box-sizing: inherit; color: #464646; font-family: "Open Sans"; font-size: 15px; margin-bottom: 15px; outline: 0px !important; text-align: justify;">
Common sense on its own is a good thing but without reason we have not made a complete and correct decision. So we must speak of common sense and reason and not just common sense alone.</div>
<div aria-label="Step 1" class="step_num" style="background-color: white; box-sizing: inherit; color: #464646; font-family: "Open Sans"; font-size: 15px; outline: 0px !important;">
<strong style="box-sizing: inherit; outline: 0px !important;">1.</strong><span class="whb" style="box-sizing: inherit; font-weight: bolder; outline: 0px !important;">Familiarize yourself with the purpose and meaning of common sense.</span></div>
<div aria-label="Step 1" class="step_num" style="background-color: white; box-sizing: inherit; color: #464646; font-family: "Open Sans"; font-size: 15px; outline: 0px !important;">
According to Merriam Webster, common sense is about exercising “sound and prudent judgment based on a simple perception of the situation or facts”.This definition suggests that common sense depends on not over-complicating the situation (simple), applying experience and general knowledge to the situation (sound and prudent judgment), and implicit in this is self-trust that your considered experience is valid for future situations. Karl Albrecht calls common sense <i style="box-sizing: inherit; outline: 0px !important;">practical intelligence</i>. He defines it as “the mental ability to cope with the challenges and opportunities of life”.He explains that common sense is situational, dependent on context, and that your common sense in one aspect of your life might be excellent while failing abysmally in another aspect of your life. As to the purpose of common sense, it is basically thinking that prevents you from making irrational mistakes or decisions, a thinking approach that may open your eyes to the possibility that insisting on being right prevents you from seeing the bigger picture.</div>
<div class="step" style="background-color: white; box-sizing: inherit; color: #464646; font-family: "Open Sans"; font-size: 15px; outline: 0px !important;">
<div style="box-sizing: inherit; margin-bottom: 15px; outline: 0px !important;">
<span class="whb" style="box-sizing: inherit; font-weight: bolder; outline: 0px !important;">2. Understand the ease with which the human mind is convinced that an idea is right contrary to indicators clearly demonstrating otherwise.</span></div>
<div style="box-sizing: inherit; margin-bottom: 15px; outline: 0px !important;">
We’re human; we’re fallible. And our brains work in certain ways as a means of providing shortcuts to ensure survival in a world where being chased by predators could end your life. In a modern world where caves and saber toothed tigers are no longer a constant companion, some of that reactive, split second judging can land us in hot water as we react instead of reflecting, assume instead of teasing apart the realities, and follow habit instead of challenging its continued utility.</div>
<div class="step" style="box-sizing: inherit; outline: 0px !important;">
<span class="whb" style="box-sizing: inherit; font-weight: bolder; outline: 0px !important;">3. Divorce yourself from reality.</span></div>
<div class="step" style="box-sizing: inherit; outline: 0px !important;">
This isn’t an invitation to insanity. This is a request to consider that <i style="box-sizing: inherit; outline: 0px !important;">your </i>sense of reality isn’t real. What you see is what you’ve programmed your brain to see. And once you start down the slippery slope of self-confirmation that reality is only ever what you see it as, you’re open to the possibilities of bigotry, selfishness, intolerance, and prejudice because you’ll constantly seek to make everyone and everything else conform to <i style="box-sizing: inherit; outline: 0px !important;">your </i>standard of reality, and your standard of “what’s right”.By divorcing yourself from this one-sided reality, and learning as much as you can about how other people perceive the world and our place in it, you begin to make room for common sense to grow because your sense is built on “common” experiences, not just your own.</div>
<div class="step" style="box-sizing: inherit; outline: 0px !important;">
<div style="box-sizing: inherit; outline: 0px !important;">
<img alt="Image result for common sense" src="https://halliburtonblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/07/Use_Common_Sense.jpg" style="border-style: none; box-sizing: inherit; display: block; height: auto; max-width: 100%; outline: 0px !important;" /></div>
<div class="step" style="box-sizing: inherit; outline: 0px !important;">
<span class="whb" style="box-sizing: inherit; font-weight: bolder; outline: 0px !important;">4. Acquaint yourself with your reflective mind.</span></div>
<div class="step" style="box-sizing: inherit; outline: 0px !important;">
This is the part of your thinking where true common sense resides. The part that takes a bit of time out from the cleverness, the brightness, the importance of everything rushing at you right now and suggests that it’s time to add a dose of cold water to the excitement. Reflective intelligence is about being able to stand back and view the bigger picture so that you realistically appraise the situation or environment directly around you rather than forcing yourself to conform to its suitability or practicing wishful thinking. After an accurate appraisal of the situation, a reflective mindset enables you to set goals that are realistic given the parameters you’re working within, and to take sensible actions toward meeting those goals. Daniel Willingham cites examples of people who throw money at the stock market, or people who choose unsuitable life situations as people who made decisions or took actions without using reflective thinking. Rationalizing that external signs seem fine while ignoring complete mismatches to the person you are or the beliefs you hold is a denial of common sense. In other words, just because other people do or use something effectively isn’t a sign that it will suit you too; you need to put your own reflective mind to work on each situation to decide whether it will be a fit for you, your lifestyle, and those around you directly impacted by your decisions.</div>
<div style="box-sizing: inherit; outline: 0px !important;">
</div>
<div style="box-sizing: inherit; outline: 0px !important;">
<span class="whb" style="box-sizing: inherit; font-weight: bolder; outline: 0px !important;">5. Reacquaint yourself with your rapid cognition.</span></div>
<div style="box-sizing: inherit; outline: 0px !important;">
The previous step has just suggested that you need to reflect more before you take decisions or act. But the obvious flip side to reflection is the reality that some things need very fast thinking and rapid decisions that will produce sound results. Rapid cognition is the type of thinking that tells you that you’re not going to connect with a person the moment that you meet them, or that a poorly placed ladder is going to fall sooner rather than later and needs to be shifted pronto, or that you need to quickly jump out of the way of an out-of-control car <i style="box-sizing: inherit; outline: 0px !important;">now</i>. How do you marry rapid cognition to reflective thinking under the rubric of “common sense”? It’s simple – spend your reflecting time wisely so that you will react wisely when quick thinking is required. Common sense builds on your reflection over past experiences, enabling you to refine your understanding of the world and how it works time and time again. This is in contrast to a person who only ever reacts on gut reactions, biases, and has failed to reflect on prior experiences.Reflection will bring about sound “gut reactions” or fast assessments of situations because your reaction is based on having taken the time to work through errors and successes of past experiences.</div>
<div style="box-sizing: inherit; outline: 0px !important;">
<img alt="Image result for common sense quotes" src="https://www.brainyquote.com/photos_tr/en/v/voltaire/106180/voltaire1.jpg" style="border-style: none; box-sizing: inherit; display: block; height: auto; max-width: 100%; outline: 0px !important;" /></div>
<div style="box-sizing: inherit; outline: 0px !important;">
<span class="whb" style="box-sizing: inherit; font-weight: bolder; outline: 0px !important;">6. Learn things that are basic common sense.</span></div>
<div style="box-sizing: inherit; outline: 0px !important;">
There are things that every human being should know how to do and not leave to another person, things that go to the heart of personal survival, self-knowledge, and long-term health and safety. In this way, you can learn common sense through practical knowledge and application, informing you accurately when times are harder or when you must react quickly.</div>

<br />
<br />
We all communicate all the time with friends colleagues family members and other groups. The objective of communication is always to convince or influence people with whom you are communicating. Of course, content is the king. It should be necessary for you to say what your listener want to listen is. The subject should be interesting to them. Otherwise, there is no reason why they should listen to you and spend time with you. But the best of content can be ruined by the inaccurate and faulty communication. If you want others to pay attention to you we have to be very convincing. How can we be convincing?<br />
The biggest challenge for communication is the inability to express yourself. The need to impress and achieve necessary results is paramount. Evidently, if there is any confusion the focus cannot remain on what you want to do whether you communicate to one person to an individual or group or a large crowd, the problems remain the same. It is the same challenge which can be disturbing. If you want people to follow you, or your principles you need to be effective. It's not possible to expect somebody to do what you want to do without any advantage in return. Therefore you have to promise them some benefit. It can be a material reward or generate better relations with others or achieve mental peace.<br />
While deciding your objective you should always take into account the needs of your audience. Oftentimes you are not very clear what you actually want. In communications this is suicidal. If you don't know what you desire, it will be very difficult for you to move towards your goal. Whatever you are passionate about should form the nucleus of your goals. The clarity in thought process and the ability to express thought clearly should precede the communication. The communication can be verbal, written, or even when you communicate through your body language, clarity of thought has to be there.<br />
Today I'll talk to you about six secrets of language that help you to make your ideas clear and communication focused and effective.<br />
<br />
<strong>Six secrets are listed below.</strong><br />
<ol>
<li><strong>Let your words talk:</strong> It's like writing NSA where readers feel that you are talking to them. Its the language of your speech. In order to ensure that your language in verbal or written communication is the language which your Listener understands. And it should also be the language which makes you comfortable for your expression. One should be writing or speaking not to impress others but to express oneself. One can best to express when the listener feels that you are talking to him or her. Communication is not like literary writing. You don't have to be a literary master and display your writing skills. All that you have to do is to use simple language which should you to make you and your Listener at ease.</li>
<li><strong>Short sentences of varying length: </strong><br />Its very difficult to understand long, complicated sentences. Why long sentences happen? We keep on thinking and framing clauses to express our thoughts without a break. Sentences tend to become very long. This adds to complications in our speech. Simplicity should always be respected. Simple language is the best language. It helps you to express yourself clearly to the Listener. Whether you write or speak your language undoubtedly is critical. The sentences should be interesting. That can happen only if you use sentences of varying lengths but never very long or complicated.</li>
<li><strong>Use proper punctuation: </strong><br />When we write, we use the punctuation marks as prescribed in the grammar. When we speak even then we have to use the punctuation. The length of the pause normally determines whether you have completed a clause or it is the end of a sentence. Evidently, when you have spoken a phrase or a clause you must have a small pause. However, when the sentence is complete the pause should be longer. Likewise, when you have completed one particular point you will take a still longer pause. Similarly, when you change the paragraph it has to be a new line or even additional space.</li>
<li><strong>Say what you're trying to say: </strong><br />This is crucial for communication and critical for your ability to convince. If you are not able to express yourself clearly and effectively, if you're not able to use suitable language, it's very unlikely that you will be in a position to convince your listener. Your struggle to find accurate words puts of the listener or the reader of your communication. When you struggle to make appropriate sentences, when you use incorrect grammar the result can be disastrous. All your efforts to convince or influence get totally wasted. You are not there to waste your time and the time of your listener. You will alienate even your friends with the use of poor language. This is nothing short of casual conduct and unworthy actions. Your language is the most potent armour in your challenge of convincing others. Very effective style of language makes it easy for you to say what you want to say. It's a good idea to practice using the most appropriate language all the time. You cannot afford to be casual at any time at all!</li>
<li><strong>Use the best possible words: </strong><br />Rome was not built in a day, so they say. Likewise, vocabulary cannot be built overnight. One should never feel that building up an effective vocabulary is an easy job. This may take a lifetime. Learning must continue throughout your life. Similarly, you must continue to enrich your vocabulary throughout. Whether you are working or not, whether you are in business or heading an organization, whether you are a leader or a follower, it's your duty to use words with discretion. Words only can express human beings. What words you use constitutes the difference between the civilized and the uneducated. Words can only lend credence to your expressions. Therefore do whatever it takes to develop a rich vocabulary. Knowledge of words is not enough. You must have the ability to use the words to bring out the best effect. Words help you to leverage your ideas. But it requires a lot of effort. In fact, you should enjoy this effort when you speak. We all speak most of the time. Your interaction can be more interesting and effective with your expertise with the words. This enables you to play the game of communication nicely.</li>
<li><strong>Focus to make your transition very natural: </strong><br />Thoughts precede conversation. Thoughts come faster in the mind than the speed at which we can speak. Often, digressions are there. Imaginary, hypothetical and creative comments emerge. There are surprises; there are issues, there are negations. So always expect the unexpected. It's your duty to remain on track if you want to succeed in your communication. Don't lose focus while winning and influencing others. The transitions can be dicey. Often these are. But we can make these transitions naturally flowing provided we remain devoted to our agenda. Whenever we attend an important negotiation, before coming to the negotiating table we must prepare and practice. Efforts should be made to ensure that all your points are properly understood by the opposite party. When it is needed to hold back, you should be able to do that. Meetings and conferences which sometimes becomes very confusing need your constant and rapt attention. However when you realize that the conversations are not following the path which you had for seeing the transitions may become a little difficult. But you have to overcome these difficulties. Any challenges have to be met with poise. Command over language makes it easy.</li>

The recent earthquake in Nepal has case extensive damage in the
Himalayan country. Thousands of lives have been lost. Many children have
become orphans the damage to the infrastructure is incalculable. In the
circumstances India played its role to help Nepal, a nation in peril.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<a href="https://satishkakriconsultants.files.wordpress.com/2015/05/nepal-earthquake.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="266" src="https://satishkakriconsultants.files.wordpress.com/2015/05/nepal-earthquake.jpg" width="400" /> </a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Sadly our television media reached Kathmandu and other places to cover
the disaster. I said sadly, because instead of providing information to
evoke sympathy that would motivate people to help; our TV jokers engaged
themselves in extracting TRPs. Disaster is not to be treated thus. It
is inhuman to ask a person who has lost his near ones ‘How do you
feel?’. These TV reporters consider themselves as belonging to a special
privileged class. Unfortunately they do not even know the basics of
reporting.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<a href="https://satishkakriconsultants.files.wordpress.com/2015/05/nepal-earthquake-world-vision-org_.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://satishkakriconsultants.files.wordpress.com/2015/05/nepal-earthquake-world-vision-org_.png" width="400" /> </a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
The 4 essential elements of disaster reporting on TV according to me are as under:<br />
<ol>
<li><strong>Language and tone of voice must be serious and somber.</strong>
However we found that these Johnnies were taking pride in their speech.
At times they were energetically emphasizing how their channel was the
first to display the disaster.</li>
<li><strong>There should be no unnecessary details, no sensational images to hook the audience.</strong>
It is an accepted norm of disaster reporting not to show details which
can evoke uncontrollable emotions. However, TV reporters were taking
pride in bringing all the details for the information of the viewers.
Evidently it appeared that reporter was engaged in a task most dear to
him. And the task was to hook the audience. It was shameful indeed.</li>
<li><strong>No dramatization whatsoever of tragedies.</strong>
Unfortunately some of the reporters of private channels devoted
themselves to dramatizing the disaster. Their voice modulation and
facial expressions depicted as though they were shooting a serial. They
thought they were performing their job nicely. They disregarded the
suffering of people around and their feelings.</li>
<li><strong>Never ask silly questions to people in grief:</strong> That
is the attitude expected of everyone; more so of the media reporters.
However totally disregarding the same – some channel reporters were even
interviewing the people in grief. A mother who lost her son was asked
by a reporter ‘apko kaisa lagta hai?’ The mess our media has created in
the place of disaster is shameful indeed.</li>
</ol>
It appears television in our country has mushroomed very fast and the
medium is often a abused rather than used. Our government should direct
that only official Doordarshan or All India Radio should cover and
provide all necessary information to news agencies and TV channels.<br />

Dadasaheb Phalke was born on 30th April 1870. Initially he
was working as a photographer in a small town called ‘Godhra’. He was
not very happy. Further, his wife died in an epidemic- pledge. Due to
death of his wife he was extremely upset and he left ‘Godhra’.<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<a href="https://satishkakriconsultants.files.wordpress.com/2015/04/dadasaheb-phalke1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://satishkakriconsultants.files.wordpress.com/2015/04/dadasaheb-phalke1.jpg" width="286" /> </a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
For sometime he worked for famous painter Raja Ravi Verma. The painter
had great influence on Dadasaheb Phalke. His imagination grew. After
working with him sometime, he left the job to start his own printing
press. He had joined partners to start this printing company. He was a
perfectionist. He went to journey to learn the latest technology in
printing. When he came back he was able to upgrade the quality of the
printing job. However his partners was not very happy with him. The
attitude of the partners was more business oriented while he was
motivated by his strong imagination. His desire to pursue greater
success in the job of printing also came in way of business result.
Eventually he resigned from the press. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<a href="https://satishkakriconsultants.files.wordpress.com/2015/04/dadasaheb-phalke.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://satishkakriconsultants.files.wordpress.com/2015/04/dadasaheb-phalke.jpg" width="400" /> </a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
He had met German Magician, Carl Heartz while in journey. Carl was one
of the 40 employees (All magicians) employed by Limier Brothers. He got
interested in making film. Debut film Raja Harishchandra in 1913. This
film is known as the first full length Indian movie.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<a href="https://satishkakriconsultants.files.wordpress.com/2015/04/raja_harishchandra.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="379" src="https://satishkakriconsultants.files.wordpress.com/2015/04/raja_harishchandra.jpg" width="400" /> </a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
He devoted himself towards learning and mastering the art of film
making. The lessons he had learned from the great Indian painter Raja
Ravi Verma were very helpful in his pursuit of film making. The
imaginative scenes he could create where exemplary. These contributed to
his great success.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<a href="https://satishkakriconsultants.files.wordpress.com/2015/04/2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://satishkakriconsultants.files.wordpress.com/2015/04/2.jpg" width="350" /> </a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>

The Dictionary meaning of Poise is composure or self-possession or equilibrium.<br />
<br />
Thus a poised person is self-assured and carries himself/herself gracefully and with dignity.<br />
<br />
For human beings the difficulty arises due to emotions. If anything
is not happening as per the expectation, the individual is likely to
react in a way which is often irrational. Poise is difficult to
maintain. However, the benefits are immense. A poised person is able to
deal with all kinds of people calmly and elegantly.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<a href="https://satishkakriconsultants.files.wordpress.com/2015/04/poised-person.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="224" src="https://satishkakriconsultants.files.wordpress.com/2015/04/poised-person.jpg" width="400" /> </a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
How to maintain poise? Psychologists after research have come to certain conclusions, which I would like to reproduce below:<br />
<br />
The biggest enemy of poise is anger. Everyone would agree that anger
is not beneficial to the individual under any circumstances. A person
gets angry due to uncomfortable situations due to uncomfortable
situations or due to his/her own inadequacies to meet the situations.
One may also get angry if someone insults or speaks in a manner which is
unworthy. But with practice one can meet all challenges. They can
remain cool in all circumstances but this will happen with consistent
efforts and self awareness.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<a href="https://satishkakriconsultants.files.wordpress.com/2015/04/laughing.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="299" src="https://satishkakriconsultants.files.wordpress.com/2015/04/laughing.jpg" width="400" /> </a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
You should laugh with others even if joke is on you. Any sarcastic
remarks can easily be laugh away. Apply mind to come out with the
solution. This will happen if you take things in their straight.<br />
<br />
Life is mixture of highs and lows. Good things are followed by
challenges just like night falls after day the life does not offer a
regular cycle like night and day. But both difficulties and happy
moments are a part of everybody’s’ life. We need to be appreciated. Keep
your spirit up even when things go wrong.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<a href="https://satishkakriconsultants.files.wordpress.com/2015/04/steve-jobs.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="208" src="https://satishkakriconsultants.files.wordpress.com/2015/04/steve-jobs.jpg" width="400" /> </a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
Ego is another enemy of poise. Unfortunately this malady is wide
spread. It is found in most well-to-do people. Realizing that ego does
not serve any purpose we should throw it out from our life.<br />

Personality comprises understanding self, fixing one’s goals, physical
and mental health and various other facets of the person as seen by
himself/herself and as seen by others. Indeed, understanding personality
is not easy. But it is extremely important. It is important for your
success. More importantly it helps you to achieve happiness.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<a href="https://satishkakriconsultants.files.wordpress.com/2015/04/what-is-personality.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://satishkakriconsultants.files.wordpress.com/2015/04/what-is-personality.jpg" width="400" /> </a></div>
<br />
<strong>Understanding self</strong><br />
<br />
Each one of us must sit down and contemplate about life’s
significance. It’s a kind of vision statement which one must clarify to
himself/herself. The act of contemplation on significance will always
help you to adopt and maintain a proper prospective.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<a href="https://satishkakriconsultants.files.wordpress.com/2015/04/self-understanding1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="272" src="https://satishkakriconsultants.files.wordpress.com/2015/04/self-understanding1.jpg" width="400" /> </a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<strong>Specifying Your Goals</strong><br />
<br />
By and large everyone has wishes. But these are not specific desires.
Wishes become desire only when you specify your goals. Wishes do not
allowed you to focus and take actions needed for achievements. These
wishes often times remain wishes. Further unrealized wishes erode self
esteem. It is imperative therefore to write down clearly on your goals.
Goals would state the time frame goals should also clarify how you plan
to achieve. Its only when you make a practical plan that you can pursue
your goals.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<a href="https://satishkakriconsultants.files.wordpress.com/2015/04/goals.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="280" src="https://satishkakriconsultants.files.wordpress.com/2015/04/goals.jpg" width="400" /> </a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<strong>Physical and Mental Health</strong><br />
<br />
First on the list of your goals should be good health. One can
achieve physically good health by taking care of food, exercise and
sleep. Human body is made to last for about 100 years. So we need to use
all the faculties with discretion. We must not over use, under-use, but
strike a good balance and keep on becoming more effective. Mental
health is even more important. It refers to your thoughts, your behavior
and your attitude towards others. It also refers to your attitude
towards life.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<a href="https://satishkakriconsultants.files.wordpress.com/2015/04/physcial-mental-health.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://satishkakriconsultants.files.wordpress.com/2015/04/physcial-mental-health.jpg" width="377" /> </a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<strong>Good Communication Skills are Critical</strong><br />
<br />
We all communicate right from the time we are able to speak. In fact
babies start communicating immediately after birth. As we grow the
social considerations keep on shaping our communication skills. Besides
the influence of people around, parents, teachers, friends and others we
meet also create an impact. We can develop and maintain good
communication skills only with regular review of our ability regarding
communications.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<a href="https://satishkakriconsultants.files.wordpress.com/2015/04/good-communication.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="265" src="https://satishkakriconsultants.files.wordpress.com/2015/04/good-communication.jpg" width="400" /> </a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<strong>Application of Mind</strong><br />
<br />
Application of mind enables you to analyze any situation. It enables
you to review your performance even in challenges. In fact, human
sufferings imparts great life’s lessons One should be willing to learn
these lessons. Knowledge acquired through reading books, attending
training programs and interacting others play an important role. One
should never be judgmental. However it’s necessary to apply mind and to
form opinions about anything that concerns us. This process helps us to
become more decisive to pursue our goals.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<a href="https://satishkakriconsultants.files.wordpress.com/2015/04/application-of-mind1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="187" src="https://satishkakriconsultants.files.wordpress.com/2015/04/application-of-mind1.jpg" width="400" /> </a></div>

<strong>Lack of Confidence</strong><br />
<br />
First of fall we need to understand the reason for lack of
confidence. Lack of confidence is due to a fear of one kind or another
(mostly unfounded). As an American wrote, “my life was full of
misfortunes which never happened”.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<a href="https://satishkakriconsultants.files.wordpress.com/2015/04/pic-4.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="265" src="https://satishkakriconsultants.files.wordpress.com/2015/04/pic-4.jpg" width="400" /> </a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
Of course, one need not be reckless. Yet, harboring fear never helps.
We need to think rationally and pen down what makes us afraid and why.
This process helps remove some of the fear and begins the path of
building confidence.<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<a href="https://satishkakriconsultants.files.wordpress.com/2015/04/pic-10.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="267" src="https://satishkakriconsultants.files.wordpress.com/2015/04/pic-10.jpg" width="400" /> </a></div>
<br />
A famous Management Guru one said that there are four ‘C’s which form
the foundation of an individual’s growth and a Company’s progress.
These four virtues are – Curiosity, Confidence, Courage and Consistency.
The most important of these happen to be <strong>Confidence</strong>. If absence of confidence the other virtues will simply disappear.<br />
<br />
It is said that “they conquer who believe they can”. Self-belief is
thus the second important factor in building up confidence. Confidence
emerging out of self-belief is necessary for any significant
achievement. New opportunities always carry some incidence of chance.
For taking any initiative you must be prepared to take calculated risk.
In fact not taking any risk is the biggest risk of life.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<a href="https://satishkakriconsultants.files.wordpress.com/2015/04/pic-8.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="291" src="https://satishkakriconsultants.files.wordpress.com/2015/04/pic-8.jpg" width="400" /> </a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
Further, Confidence enables you to trust yourself. And if you don’t
trust yourself, nobody else will. No one will feel secure in placing any
responsibility on you. That will be the dead end. There is no further
growth.<br />
<br />
<strong>Lost Opportunities</strong><br />
<br />
Often we do not see opportunities because we are not interested. On
the face of it, lack of desire acts as a strong handicap in our progress
and growth. But, Confidence trains our mind to desire what the
situation demands. It makes us alert enough to recognize and seize
emerging opportunities. With desire created by confidence we look ahead,
strive hard and succeed.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<a href="https://satishkakriconsultants.files.wordpress.com/2015/04/pic-15.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="305" src="https://satishkakriconsultants.files.wordpress.com/2015/04/pic-15.jpg" width="400" /> </a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<strong>Confidence breeds courage </strong><br />
<br />
For taking risk of any kind one needs to have courage. If we have
confidence; we will be able to rise up to the demands of the situation.
So we must go ahead and take calculated risk. Courage enables us to move
ahead! Yet, if there is no confidence it will be very difficult to
harness courage.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<a href="https://satishkakriconsultants.files.wordpress.com/2015/04/pic-21.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://satishkakriconsultants.files.wordpress.com/2015/04/pic-21.jpg" width="400" /> </a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<strong>Smile</strong><br />
<br />
Most people lack self-confidence. You can help them! Smile. Your
smile will reassure them. You will be doing a great job helping them to
gain confidence. This is particularly true when somebody is meeting a
new group of people. We must also remember that the more we are helping
others to gain confidence, the more we enhance our own self-confidence!
We help ourselves too!!!<br />

Swami Dayananda Saraswati was born in a village Tankara near Morbi in Rajkot district of Gujarat on 12th
February 1824. He is known as the first leader to give the call for
Swarajya. He propounded India for Indians. Later on Lokmanya Tilak
continued the movement. Swami Dayananda is also the founder of Arya
Samaj. Even though in the beginning he was an ardent worshiper of Lord
Shiva, yet later he advocated ancient Vedic traditions of Hinduism. He
expressed that ideal that idol worship had brought many ills in the
Hindu society. In Vedic tradition chanting mantras and performing havans
are prominent.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<a href="https://satishkakriconsultants.files.wordpress.com/2015/02/swami-dayanand2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="224" src="https://satishkakriconsultants.files.wordpress.com/2015/02/swami-dayanand2.jpg" width="400" /> </a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Dr. S. Radhakrishnan who was a great philosopher and also the President
of India called Swamiji as one of the ‘makers of modern India’. Shri
Aurobindo Ghosh also gave great importance to the contribution of Swami
Dayananda in modernizing the Hindu society. There were many others who
were deeply influence by Swami Dayananda. These included Madam Cama,
Pandit Guru Dutt Vidyarthi, Vinayak Damodar Savarkar, Lala Hardayal,
Madan Lal Dhingra, Ram Prasad Bismil, Mahadev Govind Ranade, Swami
Shraddhananda, Mahatma Hansraj, Lala Lajpat Rai and others.</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Maharshi Dayanda believed in the philosophy of Karma. Further, he was a
first to call Dalits, Harijans long before Mahatma Gandhi, though it is
attributed to the latter. The D. A. V organization was started by Swami
Dayananda. Even today many schools and colleges are run by the
organization not only in Gujarat but also in Rajasthan, Punjab, U.P and
various other states.</div>

Study and practice of Yoga is incomplete without understanding the
importance of the 7 Chakras. These chakras are the real energy centers.
Wani Yoga particularly impressive the practices involved in balancing
Throat Chakra and the Third Eye Chakra. Today I will talk about the
importance of Throat Chakra in Wani Yoga.<br />
<br />
It may be necessary to give a brief introduction of these 7 Chakras
in order to appreciate their importance in the life. The 7 Chakras are
described as under.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<a href="https://satishkakriconsultants.files.wordpress.com/2014/10/throat-chakra1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://satishkakriconsultants.files.wordpress.com/2014/10/throat-chakra1.jpg" width="366" /> </a></div>
<ol>
<li><strong>Root Chakra</strong> is concerned about the safety of the human being.</li>
<li><strong>Sacral Chakra</strong> refers to the relationships and creativity of the person concerned.</li>
<li><strong>Navel Solar Plexus Chakra </strong>describes the personality and will power of the person concerned.</li>
<li><strong>Heart Chakra </strong>Heart Chakra indicates the love and compassion that the person practices in his/her life.</li>
<li><strong>Throat Chakra </strong>is responsible for expression and communication of the individual.</li>
<li><strong>Third Eye Chakra </strong>shows the development of the individual to have good gut feeling or intuition</li>
<li><strong>Crown Chakra </strong>is the ultimate destination of the individual. This chakra concerned his/her spiritual development.</li>
</ol>
Talking about the Throat Chakra if there is any imbalance the person
will be effective with lack of expression. He/she will suffer from the
inability to express himself/herself. A feeling of stagnation will be
the next problem suffered by the individual. The person might become
habituated to holding on to unexpressed angle in tern the attitude will
turn negative.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<a href="https://satishkakriconsultants.files.wordpress.com/2014/10/image.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="236" src="https://satishkakriconsultants.files.wordpress.com/2014/10/image.jpg" width="400" /> </a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
The imbalance of Throat Chakra will also bring a feeling of despondency
in the individual – helplessness to make them heard. Further the person
made be afraid of speaking. Speaking to a group of person effectively is
not at all possible for a person who’s Throat Chakra is not balanced.
Besides, the person will suffer from failure to find the right words
while speaking.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<a href="https://satishkakriconsultants.files.wordpress.com/2014/10/images3.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="266" src="https://satishkakriconsultants.files.wordpress.com/2014/10/images3.jpg" width="400" /> </a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Wani Yoga ensures that regular simple speech exercises along with
breathing techniques are helpful in bringing back the balance of the
Throat Chakra. The exercise prescribed in this module are simple to
understand and easy to practice. Speech is an extremely important aspect
of the human personality. It is therefore necessary that whenever any
individual suffers from the blemishes described above, the effects of
same may be mitigated by practicing Wani Yoga.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<a href="https://satishkakriconsultants.files.wordpress.com/2014/10/speech-defect.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="285" src="https://satishkakriconsultants.files.wordpress.com/2014/10/speech-defect.jpg" width="400" /> </a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
In my next posting I’ll talk about the problems suffered due to
imbalance of the Third Eye Chakra. I’ll also describe how the Wani Yoga
can help in bringing back the balance.<br />
<br />
Thanks for reading.<br />

24th January is celebrated as the National Girl Child Day
every year. This was started by earlier government in the year 2008. It
appears neither the programme was conceived correctly nor its
implementation brought any results till today. It appears the objectives
of the celebration of the Girl Child Day was only to enhance the image
of the Nehru Gandhi Dynasty. We have seen over the past few years that
many such initiatives have proved to be counter-productive.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<a href="https://satishkakriconsultants.files.wordpress.com/2015/01/25visk-bit_art__25_1341913e.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://satishkakriconsultants.files.wordpress.com/2015/01/25visk-bit_art__25_1341913e.jpg" width="368" /> </a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Actually the subject is far more serious than the conception of the
programme and activities normally followed. Symbolic activities to
address a problem which is far more serious should have no place in the
society today.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<a href="https://satishkakriconsultants.files.wordpress.com/2015/01/beti-bachao-beti-padhao.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="286" src="https://satishkakriconsultants.files.wordpress.com/2015/01/beti-bachao-beti-padhao.jpg" width="400" /> </a></div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
There should be concentrated efforts to ensure that girls must be
provided education. All facilities should be granted. More than that,
there should be initiation programme to emphasis our cultural
traditions. In Hindu tradition a lady is respected as an embodiment of
knowledge, wealth and power.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
When we do Saraswati Puja knowledge comes easier than ever. Likewise
Mata Lakshmi brings wealth. When we want to evoke power to destroy the
evil in the society we prayed to Durga Mata.</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Devi Pujan is practiced in all the states of the country. This is also
unifying force. At many Devi temples people of all castes and sects come
to pray. Invariably their prayers are answered.</div>

According to the Gregorian Calendar Makar Sankranti is celebrated every year on 14th January. There are only rare exceptions when the festival is celebrated on 13th or 15th January. Most of the other Hindu festivals fall on different dates.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">

Gul Poli</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
It is a festival to celebrate harvest. In many parts of the country this
harvest festival is celebrated with lot of activities. The great thing
about Hindu festivals is that they promote social interaction. Makar
Sankranti is no exception. In Maharashtra the festival is celebrated by
exchanging sweets. Halwa and Til Gul Ladu are particularly prepared on
this day. Gulachi Poli which is a delicacy a served during lunch.
Gulachi Poli is a traditional Indian bread-chapati/paratha with a
difference that there is filling of ground till, besan(gram flour) and
lot of pure ghee. People greet each other with ‘Til Gul Ghya Ani Goad
Goad Bola’- promoting better interpersonal relationship. Haldi Kunku is
distributed among married women. The gifts of utensils, clothes and
sweets are exchanged.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Makar Sankranti is also an auspicious occasion on which Sun God is
revered. Millions of people take bath in Holi Rivers. Ganga Sagar where
river Ganges flow into the Bay of Bengal is particularly popular.</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
In Tamil Nadu the festival is known as Pongal and is celebrated by
preparing lots of sweets and Tamilian dishes. These are served on
planten leaves. Another marked feature of this festival is that people
fly kites in open spaces. Very decorative and colorful kites are made
for the occasion. It is a wonderful festival where people participate
with the enthusiasm and gusto.</div>

12th January is a very important day in India. This is
celebrated as National Youth Day. Swami Vivekananda who is also known as
Patriotic Saint was born on 12th January 1863. He was the Chief Disciple of Ramakrishna who was a well known saint in Bengal during 19th
century. Swami Vivekananda is credited with founding of Ramakrishna
Math and the Ramakrishna Mission. The latter has spread throughout the
country and is engaged in learning many educational institutions.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<a href="https://satishkakriconsultants.files.wordpress.com/2015/01/national-youth-day3.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="234" src="https://satishkakriconsultants.files.wordpress.com/2015/01/national-youth-day3.jpg" width="400" /> </a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Narendranath Datta (the real name of Swami Vivekananda) was born in an
aristocratic Bengali family of Calcutta. His father Vishwanath Datta was
an Attorney at the Calcutta High Court. His mother Bhuvaneshwari Devi
was a devout house wife. The progressive rational thinking of Narendra’s
father, and the religious temperament of his mother helped shake his
thinking and personality.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<a href="https://satishkakriconsultants.files.wordpress.com/2015/01/swami-vivekanada.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://satishkakriconsultants.files.wordpress.com/2015/01/swami-vivekanada.jpg" width="369" /> </a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Swami Vivekananda was instrumental in the introduction of The Indian
philosophies of Vedanta and Yoga to the western world. He was a great
public speaker. His confident participation in the Parliament of the
World’s Religions in Chicago in 1893 brought him laurels. The beginning
of his speech by addressing Sisters and Brothers of America… is
remembered by religious leaders of various countries even today. He was
considered the most effective and influential speaker at that meeting.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<a href="https://satishkakriconsultants.files.wordpress.com/2015/01/swami-vivekananda-life-and-philosophy-2-638.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="https://satishkakriconsultants.files.wordpress.com/2015/01/swami-vivekananda-life-and-philosophy-2-638.jpg" width="400" /> </a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Swami Vivekanada’s teachings emphasize human development. According to
him each individual has a soul potentially divine. The goal to manifest
this divinity should be prime for everyone. This is possible through
devotion to one’s duty. This is possible by mental discipline or
prayers. Contemplation on human soul is also very relevant. This is the
very essence of any religion. Rituals, dogmas, books or temples or forms
are just secondary details.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<a href="https://satishkakriconsultants.files.wordpress.com/2015/01/ramakrishna.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://satishkakriconsultants.files.wordpress.com/2015/01/ramakrishna.jpg" width="333" /> </a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
Swami Vivekanada’s influence on Hinduism is paramount. According to
him, Love and respect towards the Motherland was the solemn duty of
every citizen. He is respectfully known as the Patriotic Saint.<br />

16th December happens to be an important day for our Nation. It was on 16th
December 1971 that the instrument of surrender was signed by the
Unified Commander of Pakistan Armed Force’s Eastern Military High
Command. The then Prime Minister of India Shrimati Indira Gandhi asked
the Chief of the army staff General Manekshaw to go to Dhaka and sign
the instrument. However the General said that the honor should go to his
Army commander in the east, Lieutenant General Jagjit Singh Aurora.<br />

At the outbreak of the <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Indo-Pakistani_War_of_1971">war</a>
on 3 December 1971, as the GOC-in-C of the Eastern Command, Aurora
oversaw the Indian ground forces into battle in East Pakistan. In a
meticulously planned operation, forces under Aurora’s command formed
numerous small combat teams and launched a four-front attack with the
strategy of confronting and defeating the Pakistani forces on selected
fronts, while bypassing Pakistani forces on others. In under two weeks,
his forces advanced from the Indian border to capture <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dhaka">Dhaka</a>, the capital of East Pakistan. (Source Wikipedia)</div>

Walter Elias Disney was an American Business Magnate and a filmmaker.
But he was one of the greatest Cartoonists this world has ever seen. It
is particularly true when we are thinking of one cartoon. When we are
thinking of one character created by a cartoonist which has survived
more than a century. The character is. Mickey Mouse.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<a href="https://satishkakriconsultants.files.wordpress.com/2014/12/quotes-from-walt-disney-wallpaper.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="225" src="https://satishkakriconsultants.files.wordpress.com/2014/12/quotes-from-walt-disney-wallpaper.jpg" width="400" /> </a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<a href="https://satishkakriconsultants.files.wordpress.com/2014/12/walt2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://satishkakriconsultants.files.wordpress.com/2014/12/walt2.jpg" width="312" /> </a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Of and on Mickey Mouse makes fashion statements on t-shirts, sweat
shirts and children pajamas. It appears that the character is going to
live another century. Walter also created Donald duck and Goofy. These
are also good but nothing to beat Mickey Mouse. He won 22 academy awards
including a record of four in just one year. It gave him the honor of
being one with maximum nominations (59) and 22 awards.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<a href="https://satishkakriconsultants.files.wordpress.com/2014/12/93411-donald-duck.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://satishkakriconsultants.files.wordpress.com/2014/12/93411-donald-duck.jpg" width="400" /> </a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Disney Land theme parks in US, Japan, France and Hong Kong are the
places which attract tourists from all over the world. If the family
travels with children there is no way that they could miss the Disney
lands if they are visiting that particular country.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
He died on December 15 1996 from longue cancer in California. He had
created a large number of animated shorts and future films. The company
created these parks and animation studio which bears his name. At times
we think how could a cartoonist create a cartoon that transcends the
limits of time and space. What Shakespeare is to drama and literature,
Walt Disney is to entertainment particularly for the children.</div>

Today, I will talk to you about the qualities of a great Guru in the
context of present day teaching. While in our country, our Education
System seems to have drifted away from the traditions, some of the
teachers in the US are following our traditions.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<a href="https://satishkakriconsultants.files.wordpress.com/2014/12/image31.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="298" src="https://satishkakriconsultants.files.wordpress.com/2014/12/image31.jpg" width="400" /> </a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
The Guru-shishya parampara always emphasized that the Guru should also
be a mentor. It meant that he/she does not just give lectures. But the
classroom sessions are made interactive and participative. Here in
India, we see that most college students have to rely on private
classes. It is not only unnecessary, but also wasteful. Students lose
the time spent in the college. At the same time College Lecturers are
also unhappy because they don’t find devoted students.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<a href="https://satishkakriconsultants.files.wordpress.com/2014/12/images.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="198" src="https://satishkakriconsultants.files.wordpress.com/2014/12/images.jpg" width="400" /> </a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Now I will describe how a good and passionate teacher is rated in a
typical US school or college. The teacher ensures that the class is
interesting. He/she does not stick only to the text, but gives examples
from life to ensure a clear understanding of the subject. The teacher is
always willing, and in fact wanting to help. The teacher displays
deeper understanding and carefully listens to the students. Polite and
human, the teacher ensures that everyone in the class understands the
material before he/she is subjected to any kind of tests. The message is
given repeatedly that Teacher should never bring personal problems to
school. The teacher should have great respect for the students.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<a href="https://satishkakriconsultants.files.wordpress.com/2014/12/image2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="266" src="https://satishkakriconsultants.files.wordpress.com/2014/12/image2.jpg" width="400" /> </a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
At the same time, the teacher motivates the students to come to the
class on time. They are mentally prepared to learn, in fact eager to
learn, and to respect each other. Students must listen when another
student is talking. Of course there should be no cross talking during
the class. The teacher repeats to the students, never say I can’t.
Further, the teacher reassures them not to be afraid to say “I don’t
understand”.<br />
<br />
I hope that the new government and the HRD Minister will take suitable steps to ensure that we go back to our tradition.<br />

The Education System in our country was based on Guru-Shishya Parampara
(tradition). Each individual who was educated in this tradition was able
to think for himself/herself. However, The British did not want this
system to continue. They only wanted followers who blindly obeyed their
diktat. They needed manpower in administration. So they disbanded this
system. The present education system is based on recommendations of Lord
Macaulay who felt it necessary to tame the citizens into becoming
unthinking followers. This system continues till today.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<a href="https://satishkakriconsultants.files.wordpress.com/2014/12/guru-shishya.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="https://satishkakriconsultants.files.wordpress.com/2014/12/guru-shishya.jpg" width="400" /> </a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
The biggest problem of our current education system is that even though
students have great imagination, extensive knowledge, they have
difficulty to express themselves. They lack courage and confidence. In
complete contrast, the Guru Shishya Parampara creates a bond between the
teacher and the disciple which transcends the traditional teacher
student relationship. The Guru acts as a mentor ensuring that each of
his Shishya feels free to ask any questions which he considers duty
bound to explain.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<a href="https://satishkakriconsultants.files.wordpress.com/2014/12/guru-shishya1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="247" src="https://satishkakriconsultants.files.wordpress.com/2014/12/guru-shishya1.jpg" width="400" /> </a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
As a mentor, the Guru considers it his duty to ensure that the future of
Shishya is well protected. The Guru ensures that Shishyas develop the
capacity to think for themselves. Further, they inculcate the necessary
skills to deal with each other and conduct themselves elegantly among
people.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<a href="https://satishkakriconsultants.files.wordpress.com/2014/12/guru-shishya2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="228" src="https://satishkakriconsultants.files.wordpress.com/2014/12/guru-shishya2.jpg" width="400" /> </a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Great knowledge of our scriptures can be disseminated properly by bringing back the system even though in a new modern avtar.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<a href="https://satishkakriconsultants.files.wordpress.com/2014/12/guru-shishya6.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="287" src="https://satishkakriconsultants.files.wordpress.com/2014/12/guru-shishya6.jpg" width="400" /> </a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
The biggest challenge for the Human Resource Development (HRD) Ministry
is to give proper orientation to the teachers. Besides, the number of
students in a class should be between 10 to 15 but never more than 20.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<a href="https://satishkakriconsultants.files.wordpress.com/2014/12/guru-shishya8.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="364" src="https://satishkakriconsultants.files.wordpress.com/2014/12/guru-shishya8.jpg" width="400" /> </a></div>

What is Elevator Pitch? Why it is called an Elevator Pitch? We know that
we use Elevator for a very short time. In this short time if we can
express a product or service, its need and create a desire to know more
in the mind of the listener we have been able to create a good elevator
pitch. Today it has assumed a great importance. Many a time people do
not have time to go through long presentations. They just want to
understand what the sales person is talking about briefly. Then they
decide whether to go ahead with the proposal or not.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<a href="https://satishkakriconsultants.files.wordpress.com/2014/12/elivator-pitch2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://satishkakriconsultants.files.wordpress.com/2014/12/elivator-pitch2.jpg" width="400" /> </a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Time has become a scares commodity. It has to be used judiciously. It
must create benefits that we are looking for. We must come up with the
way of explaining the idea that will grab the attention of someone who
had many other things in mind. This is where the Elevator Pitch comes
in. The primary goal while creating and delivering Elevator Pitch is to
get a potential investor, partner, or a customer to desire more
knowledge about he said. Further the listener must be able to assimilate
the idea the objective of the Elevator Pitch is that is such a
statement which can trigger the listeners to involve more people.
Because the idea is interesting and the listener has thoroughly
understood it gives a listener a power to express to others.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<a href="https://satishkakriconsultants.files.wordpress.com/2014/12/elivator-pitch.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="302" src="https://satishkakriconsultants.files.wordpress.com/2014/12/elivator-pitch.jpg" width="400" /> </a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
The Elevator Pitch can be conscious one sentence summery. It can also a
one paragraph summery or even a tagline. The important thing is that it
must impress in a compelling manner. It further means that the person
who delivers the Elevator Pitch must memorize it. More than that he
should be able to express it with excellent modulation. The efficacy of
the speaker is critical while delivering the Elevator Pitch. So,
rehearse presenting Elevator Pitch again and again and again.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">

Shakespeare said that the world is a stage and we are all actors. It
is true and will remain true. But today one can also say that the world
is a market place and we are all salesman. We all try to sell something
or the other. Sometimes it is a product, sometimes it is an idea and at
another time it could be influencing people. But the element of selling
is always there. Keeping this in view and realizing the importance of
sales I am repeating the words of Mr. Neil Rackam -the creator of the
Spin Selling Strategy.<br />

What is Spin Selling Model?<br />
<br />
Asking Questions that are important to the customer is what makes the
SPIN model so powerful. Its questioning sequence taps directly into the
psychology of the buying process. SPIN questions provide a road map for
the seller, guiding the call through the steps of need development
until Explicit Needs have been reached. And the more Explicit Needs you
can you can obtain from buyers, the more likely the call is to succeed.<br />

<br /></div>
Here is an overview of the SPIN model. Successful sales people use the following sequence:<br />
<br />
1. Initially, they ask Situation Questions to establish background
facts. But they don’t ask too many, because Situational Questions can
bore or irritate the buyer.<br />
<br />
2. Next, they quickly move to Problem Questions to explore problems,
difficulties, and dissatisfactions. By asking Problem Questions, they
uncover the customer’s implied needs.<br />
<br />
3. In smaller sales it could be appropriate to offer solutions at
this point, but in successful larger sales the seller holds back and
asks Implication Questions to make the Implied Needs larger and more
urgent.<br />
<br />
4. Then, once the buyer agrees that the problem is serious enough to
justify action, successful sales people ask Need-payoff Questions to
encourage the buyer to focus on solutions and to describe the benefits
that the solution would bring.<br />
<br />
On the whole, Need-payoff Questions are important because they focus
attention on solutions, not problems. And they make customers tell you
the benefits. Need-payoff questions are particularly powerful selling
tools in the larger sale because they also increase the acceptability of
your solution. Equally important, success in large sales depends upon
internal selling by customers on your behalf, and Need-Payoff Questions
are one of the best ways to rehearse the customer presenting your
solutions convincingly to others.<br />
